Wishing all my Canadian sisters a very Happy Canada Day. Lets not just have a BBQ and a couple of beers. Take 2 minutes today to sit back and think of all the great things this country has done and the chances it has given us. Especially as crossdressers, there are still places in this world if you are caught crossdressing or are homosexual you will be thrown in jail or worse so be thankful for the freedoms we have and don't forget when someone asks you where your from, you reply strongly and proudly, I AM CANADIAN!!!!

Happy Canada Day. Despite our location on the world map we all have so much in common The desire to express our selves in the gender that we were not suppose to for what ever reason. We can all celebrate we found each other and enjoy each others special days.                                                 Luv Stephanie

Happy Canada day to our neighbors and friends to the north. Celebrate it as best you can, under the circumstances.

I just checked Wikipedia so I'm sure the story I heard about how Canada got its name is true. When the French got to present day Canada they asked the Native Americans what this place was called. "Canada," came the reply. When they got a little farther inland they asked the same question. Again the reply was "Canada". After asking the same question a number of times and getting the same answer they assumed that the name of the new land was Canada, so eventually the country took that name. What the French didn't know was that the Native Americans didn't quite understand the question so when they answered "Canada" they were telling the French that they were in the village. "Canada" is Iroquoi for "village" (among other similar words).

Happy Canada Day from down here in "Oz". My business career took me to Toronto "Van" and Montreal many times over about 30 years on the road. With the exception of the "different" Quebecrs, I felt very much at home and enjoyed ALMOST every minute of my trips.. (February in "Torono"... never again...)

My only gripe is hardly anyone else on this planet ever adopted the great "Oz" tradition of BYO wine into a restaurant . I would have had much pleasure in taking  a good Aussie red or white to dinner with the many wonderful friends/client I met in my travels.

Happy dressing

Caty

Thanks for that Trevor. I really appreciated watching that. The priest and the leader of the group are exactly why Dave Barry loves to say "Experts. Sometimes you have to use them."😜 It's so much fun being the guy who was ignored just because he was "just a regular guy" isn't it?

Thank you all for your wonderful replies. We had a wonderful day in the heat hanging out in the backyard  and watching grandkids play in the pool, our kids all dropped by over the course of the day, that's what makes it special, family. Take care everyone and post all your holidays I will always send you a friendly wish, that's just being Canadian we like everybody. As Robin Williams said once, Canada, it's like having really cool neighbours in the attic. Love to all, Heather.
