I'm in Maine, next door to Canada, but remember great family celebrations at my grandparents' place across the border.better time of year to have a holiday party than late November, as you never know what kind of weather you'll get here by then in the northeast US. enjoy!

Safe travels! Heard the border is open for those entering Canada from the USA but not for Canadians traveling to the US. Hope this doesn’t impact many celebrating the holiday.
