What do you feel when you dress up with makeup?
I feel complete when I wear makeup. Without makeup I just don’t feel feminine. However makeup takes more time than all other aspects of dressing combined. It’s much more than lipstick. Finding the right shade of foundation, the colors for eye shadow, getting the eyebrows and lashes right, blush for the cheeks. No wonder women can never be ready to go out on time.
Thanks for your insight. For me you are right it takes really long, but its worth it in the end.
There is definitely a little bit more "zing" when I wear makeup. But I'm so lucky that I don't have to wear makeup to pass. I was out this morning in my corvette with the roof off wearing a tank top and shorts and ladies sunglasses and no makeup. I had guys on two separate occasions be very friendly towards me. At Starbucks, one said "nice ride" in a flirty tone and in a strip mall parking lot, the other said "hey be careful not to scratch the paint on my old rusty pickup truck" also in a very joking, flirty tone. I always respond trying to use my most feminine voice which is probably one of the hardest things for me to do to pass.
So back to the makeup question (sorry for the tangent). I only wear makeup when I get dolled up in clubbing clothes (i.e. short leather skirt with sexy top) or when I am in office-wear. Both of these take place in the evening. I can't remember the last time I wore makeup during the day???
Thanks for the question Angela, Hugs, Krista
thanks for reply, you are one of the lucky ones.lol... How nice that must make you feel when you get hit on as a girl. enjoy love Angela
Makeup application has become my favourite part of getting dressed up. When I finally get to sit in front of my makeup mirror and just play for a hour or so with all the gorgeous colours it really makes my day.
When I am able to wear makeup and wig and full outfit, Its like the sun shining brighter than ever. I love being all dolled up but I dont get to do it enough
I agree without jennifer. I don’t feel complete without makeup. I use to be satisfied to partially dress but now for me it’s all or nothing. I have a new cold should blouse that o am dying to try on but until I can try it with All my female accutroments, I won’t try it on. By boy self it’s wearing the top, Annie is and she is all G. I. R. L.
I agree wearing make-up dose make me feel and look more complete. I only put on my make-up to go out to the drag show or meeting with others.
fell whole when i wear makeup, It is always the finishing touch
My makeup is generally pretty low key, but without it I feel exposed. I'm not confident enough to go makeup-free just yet. If ever.
I am a makeup junkie, love to shop for it and wear it. That is one of my favorite things about dressing. However, I do not get to wear it as often as I want and I wish I was better at applying it. I have scheduled a makeover in a couple of weeks and hopefully will learn some good tips and techniques. If I cannot dress completely, I still love to put on some makeup and lipstick, so girly.
I totally agree. I was happy with just dressing up. Then it seemed that a little lipstick made it more exciting. Then a little eyeliner. Next wow eyelashes made my look stand out. Now I still will just dress. More times than not,I put on a favorite outfit look in the mirror and I can't stop... Each thing that makes me feel more girly I have to use it. Even worse I have to get my look as good as possible. It's almost a sickness. I'm dressed now. If I get a minute alone. I have to dress.

I used to feel so uninspired
And when I knew I had to face another day
Lord, it made me feel so tired
Before the day I met you, life was so unkind
But your the key to my peace of mind
You make me feel
You make me feel like
A natural woman
