I was watching the TV show 'Clarice' yesterday and part of the show was about someone who is transgender who had to hide it to keep her job. It also came out in the end that her boss knew and was not going to end well. It also involved public perspective when the press's choice of words paints all transgender with the same brush.

I think that for the majority of Hollywood, and the people who write these shows, it’s more of a shock value.
my wife is constantly harping how all the new shows she’s been watching involve gay women or men. She constantly pissed at this. I say if it offends you stop watching! Since finding my feminine self, I am not bothered by it. I find that if your not forcing your values on me, and you live your life respecting others, then live your life!
