It is unfortunately too often true that ‘life is a ‘b’ and then you die’. But we do win through many many stormy seas. We’re all here aren’t we? Perhaps not unscathed but certainly ready to see what another day, CD or otherwise, will bring. Dressing brings me inner calm.

Q: Is dressing your compass in stormy seas?

@valentina16 Yes, being my authentic self brings me calm and centers me. Hiding often just adds to the stress and anxiety of life.

@dee2 Hi Dee. Yes, since I “came out” as a crossdresser I do have a deep sense of inner calm; strangely those around me still expect the “old” grumpy me though!

Life is definitely much better living my inner feminine self.

I write this sitting on the sofa, enjoying a lovely dram of malt whisky, whilst wearing a red knee length skirt, floaty pink blouse, pink nail polish, glossy gold pantyhose and a wicked pair of black lace and pink knickers (panties)….plus my wife is sitting next to me, fully approving! Life is good!💕❤️

@valentina16 Can't say as it is. I don't run to it to calm things, it's always been there, always part of me.

@valentina16

Living authentically is my compass.  Estradiol is the rudder that helps me navigate this crazy world.

@valentina16 Yes, I feel more balanced as Astrid than in my AMAB role (starting to learn what all the abbreviations mean 😁).

I find that dressing has a calming effect on me and my wife has said the same thing. Whether it is a pair of panties under my drab or being fully dressed it relaxes me. I don't know if it is the softness of the material, the hug of the bra or the swish of the dress/skirt but whatever it is I love it.

XOXO

Since I started cross-dressing, I am a much calmer and tolerant person; I'm certainly happier. To that I can add that I don't even need to be dressed to feel that way, just the thought that I can if I want, is enough to maintain the status quo.

My wife says I am calmer since I came out to her, but that could be because I have nothing left to hide.

@juliarey I can certainly agree with that. I am much calmer too since I unburdened myself to her and found her willing to explore this with me rather than shun me.

No, while I enjoy dressing, and I doubt I could stop it is not a defining part of me. My moral compass points north whether I am dressed or not.
