Hi all you technofiles! I need help. I have window 10(gggggrrrrr). Somehow my pictures file no longer shows the pictures of what each icon is....just a bunch of numbers. The image for each is a stupid box with 2 mountains in them. I have to bring up the picture site on 1 and click to open it in the viewer.
What do I need to do to get it back to showing me the pictures in the boxes????? I am going out of my tree with this OS system..........for sure am going to get apple next time. Thank you.... Lady Victoria Graunwolf ( maybe have to change to baldwolf....after I pull out all my hair (fur).
PS... does this have anything to do with my keyboard......knocked my coke over ( allright.....POP) on it.

I think these issues are website related and not your computer or OS. I am also having photo issues.

A new keyboard is probably a good start because that sugary sweet drink can end up causing all sorts of problems.
I've not seen the problem you mention but the site is having some technical issues we're trying to get sorted. Photos on member media pages is a big one.
Hang in there, hopefully the bugs will be eliminated... soon.

Thank you for your help, girls. It happened before and my IT son in law fixed it but he is 500 miles away from me now. My computer repair service is in India and every time I contact them it seems to cost me 500.00 to fix!!!! Again........thanks sooo much. Lady vee.
Lady V, have you sorted the problem? If not, then have a look at the bottom right of your file pages - you should see two small boxes. Clicking on the smaller one to the right should restore the view to thumbnails which show the pictures for each file. Hope this helps!

Dawn....thank you but didn't work trying to navigate thru Microsoft help...don't have windows 10 manual.
I think that you mean 'Whiz' not wizz. ("wizz" is: what you do in the park when you are walking home from the bar and can't hold it until you get to a bathroom)
Dayeton Jayde..............oh wise girl huh? Not my spelling fault....keyboard got coke (the drink...not the powder) on it and keys are sticky. Anyhooooow...thanks for pointing out my mistake...I hate errors too.

Hi Ladies.......thank you all for your helpful hints. I checked my lap-top and there is a button on pictures file to change these from pictures to icons and back. That is with 8.1 OS. Microsoft in their infinite stupidness has changed all this in Microsoft 10.....ggggrrrrrrr! Anyway....thru the miracle of mucking about with buttons, I fixed my problem!!!! Pls don't ask me how......I am stupefied by the whole set up and couldn't remember what I did. I'm so smart, I'm so smart! S_M_R_A_T!!!!! DOH!

OK, just because I feel like adding to this pretty much finished discussion and don't see what I do.
Open the file with your pictures in it.
Right click in the file - not on a picture, just somewhere in the box.
A menu will come up. Click on View (for me that's the second item on the list)
Another menu will come up. Click on one of the ones that says 'icons" I usually go for larger - the medium and small are hard for my old eyes to see, the extra large takes up too much room.
