Dairy products according to a study may now reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. For year "Bad" saturated fats from butter and milk we have been told to avoid.
Well studies of people with high dairy intake may have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. Dr Duane Mueller a leading nutritional expert has concluded that dairy "does not need to be avoided.
This particularly applies to cheese and yogurt not only a source of protein and calcium, but has consistently linked to reduced cardiovascular disease. So in truth dairy is good for your heart.
Now I love a good cheese, think I'll buy some more then if it's good for ticker.
Cheddar here I come, cheese that is not the town.
Lol Amanda xx
Good to know, because I love milk and would suck a cow dry if I could. 😆
Cheese! Is there something cheese is not good with? When I make 7 cheese lasagna I add three additional layers of cheese. Anything with ground beef is blah without cheese.
Now they figure out cheese is good for you. They better gear up the cheese factories 'cause here comes the cheeseheads!

Hi Amanda,
I wonder if the good results favor a hard cheese or a softer variety?
Alice
Hi Amanda i love drinking cow's milk , and I love eating cheese, I was brought up on dairy by my mother like she was with her mother, generation's of people were brought up on dairy,
I am like a mouse in a cheese factory. 🧀 Oh milk love it 🐄🐄
Thats funny, lol.
when I was a kid,in the 60's, I lived on a farm and drank milk straight from the cow, right until I was in my 20's, no pasteurization, just chilled.
I remember there was a study, that linked cows milk to cancer(in that same time period).
Just shows, there can be a study, to support ANY theory. (not saying this one is incorrect, just saying, lol)
Hugs, Regi👸💖
Thanks Amanda for this great information! I love cheese… 🧀🧀

Amanda.
I love dairy, a good chunk of cheese is always on my weekly shopping trip.
Milk....proper, full cream milk...not all the variations with stuff removed or added....like the " water" they sell here with a red lid on the bottle.
Cheese...currently have a slab of " Wykes " mature cheddar, which is made in Somerset. also love Cornish Yarg and a good Stilton.
...and your post is definite confirmation that somewhere on this planet there is a huge underground cavern packed with thousands of people just compiling studies.....and inventing celebration days for Alice Underwire!!!!!
Grace with the cheesey smile x
Oh definitely Grace love a nice piece Of mouse trap.
Welsh rabbit on toast on a cold morning, yummy.
I think Alice is in the office next door to mine Grace, ha ha.
Lol Amanda xx
Hi Alice,
Well it didn't distinguish between unripened or aged (ripened) cheeses

Hi Amanda,
Count yourself lucky to enjoy your milk and butter! Worldwide, lactose intolerance is quite a lot more common - in parts of asia to the extent of 90% of the population. One Thai person once told me in an almost disgusted tone. "Milk is for babies not adults!" - if a Thai drank milk, they would probably not feel good or even get ill - it's a cultural meme there, that milk is 'ugh'.
Lactose tolerance, is due to a genetic mutation apparently c. 8,000 years ago which established itself within the 'european' population of the time and hence their descendants, but hasn't gained traction yet worldwide - if it ever does. But e.g. the colonisation of Australia, New Zealand and the States by white europeans explains why they have much more lactose tolerance as nations.
On the plus side, the process of making cheese and yoghurt gets rid of the lactin - mostly (soft cheeses less so).
I bet you didn't want to know that 😉

Y’all can go on and on about all those great cheeses and I wouldn’t disagree. But when God created the Holstein cow, S/He meant that milk for ice cream. If you’re talking dairy, you better be talking about Ice Cream. Butter pecan, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, rocky road, caramel swirl (my stage name btw), cookies and cream......I scream, you scream.....

Great info Amanda seeing as I love dairy! Everything in moderation though right?
That's great news Amanda. My wife and I love our cheddar cheese (well, especially me, I like any type of cheese while my wife is more picky). Oh and Sandy likes a tiny little bit of cheese on her kibble too. I think Jess said moderation; that's the key isn't it? Overdo it on anything and my body says "what are you doing gal?" Thanks for sharing the info. All the Very Best, Hugs, Krista.
