Hiya sisters.  I'm kinda curious whether our acceptance of ourselves  has changed your desire in auto styles.  There have been many cars labeled chick cars through the years, generally because they are cute and/or convertibles.   I remember the old Pontiac Fiero was ruined for guys by being labeled as such, the 'new' VW Beetle was another.... for richer girls maybe a M-B SLK and of course all girls look good in a BMW 3 series convertible.  So, any desire to look cute with your hair and scarf blowing in the wind as you cruise top down for all to see?

While we are at it, just what is your ride??

1. Pick up truck 😖

2.  SUV/Crossover

3. Sedan

4. Sports car/convertible

5. Motorcycle (babes on bikes!)

Yes I am no fan of the disturbing full-size truck craze in urban areas - makes no bloody sense 🙄🤔.  Myself I drive a sensible older Elantra.  Not a chick car, but a reasonable vehicle that DOESNT TAKE UP THE WHOLE ROAD!  (My little vent)

Yes, I would like Porsche Boxster instead.  Oh well....🙂

Stevie

We have 2 vehicles, a Dodge Durango we use to tow our travel trailer and a Dodge Grand Caravan we use for everyday use. The van is not really a chick car but it has pink license plate holders, a pink steering wheel cover, floral seat covers and a scented floral lei hanging from the mirror.

Not willing to give up our full size SUV as a "chick" car would never be able to haul our trailer and we enjoy getting away as often as we can.

Hi Stevie,

My car is a 12 year old mercedes A150 - don't know that helps identify it in the US, but it's a small 5 door, 4 seater (5 at a squeeeze), and a dog can fit in the small back. It does the speed limit and then a bit more, but acceleration is a patient experience. I bought it 4 years ago for £3k with a trade in of a knackered car and it's been really reliable - not much needed apart from servicing. I'll drive it until it's not worth maintaining, then trade in for a similar car.

While looking, I might drool over a small Audi TT which for some reason is my idea of a girlie car. But how practical would that be? So it'd be drooling only.

Actually I frequently get a few double takes when out and about emfemme. Perhaps that’s because I drive bright and shinning luxury pickup truck, cruising down the road with my dog’s head sticking out the back window. Everything in that picture looks completely normal til the driver is spotted not only being a chick, but a very feminine one!
I would love a chick mobile, if for no other reason than gas mileage! But my dog goes with me and accept me equally well in boy or girl mode!

My current ride is a very sensible hatchback for commuting.

My dream ‘girl ride’ is easy - Jaguar XK8 convertible….yup, I would make that car look good LOL!  Now if only someone would get me one………. 🙂

Great question! Currently driving a small Mercedes SUV. Funny story. When I first got it, a young lady (who knows about Emily) and I were talking about it and I said it was an old man’s car and her reply was that it was more of a soccer mom type of vehicle. To which I replied, “I’m good with that”. Made me laugh that I had picked a “girlie car” without even trying.

I'm more enamoured to drive a chick car these days, but my daily driver is a Jeep.

However the best chick car I've ever owned is not what you would ever  see often. It''s an early 40's Buick coupe, classic Art Decoish styling penned by the great Harley Earl and I painted it an original maroon colour, and this colour suits it beautifully. The number of women I've had who have come to me and simply gush over it is incredible, they want to sit in it and have their pictures taken in it too. I wish I had been a younger single guy and I could have got a few dates I'm sure.

That's the thing with chick cars, they attract women, which is often a good thing!

You kinda nailed me with your list, BMW M3 Convertible here. Big V8 makes drab me happy, while its still a girly enough car to be cute in. Also something about driving a 6 speed manual in a skirt and heels makes by blood run hot and supplies an endorphin rush to the brain.

I am a Georgia peach and drive a pick up truck,  aka a pick me up truck.  Girls driving pick up trucks are a fairly common sight in the deep south.  Stereotypes aside, my wife drives a small powder-blue chick car.  Sometimes we swap rides.

I absolutely drive a chick  car, it’s a cute  red 2006 mustang gt and it’s very girly in my opinion , I always manage to get a few looks along side the interstate when I have played “ damsel in distress “ or stopped at the gas station to air up a tire while dressed in my feminine best . I just love girly sports cars !!!💋
