But not because how she looks, but rather because you admire what she is wearing instead, and wish you could wear the item?

@victoria-rose Only all the time. I wish I had the figure and no telltale knees.

I also wish I didn’t look as masculine as they come and that my face didn’t look better with a moustache.

@victoria-rose More often than I can count. I'm always on the look out for a cute look, make-up, or accessories that inspire my next shopping spree! I especially look for cis-gender women who still wear nylons/stockings/pantyhose because most cis-gender women seem to have stopped wearing them. It's mostly just jealousy.

@sunnydeana Tights and other hosiery sales are up, in Europe, so your observation may depend on where you live.

I also keep on reading recent fashion trend articles about tights / stockings being the latest fashion revival item. I read a new one today.

All the time. I have to remind myself not to stare or scan women up and down. I'm usually thinking, "I love that outfit," or, "I wonder if I could pull off that look?" But of course that's not what most women are likely to expect me to think. I never want someone to feel I'm being rude or creepy. I always think, if they just knew what I was really thinking, but then I laugh to myself and remember that would probably be even more disturbing for some.

I think the same. I would love to be able to wear the look of women I see. Once in the car my wife caught my attention. I stared at a woman in heels. How he moved!!

@victoria-rose Oh yes, frequently. Sometimes with a tinge of envy (female jealousy).

@victoria-rose - all the time! Typical reaction, "Oh my god I wish I was wearing that!"

@victoria-rose All the time!  I'm working to fine tune my feminine style and it's great to learn from other women.   I can't tell you how many times I have come home after seeing someone wearing something I like and started shopping on the web to find it!

As an example, I saw a woman wearing linen drawstring pants yesterday and now I want a pair for summer!   She was wearing them with espadrilles and they looked so cute!

Yes, for pretty much all my life. And sometimes in surprising ways. In 1970 my dad took me to see the John Wayne movie True Grit. Dad loved his westerns,  but all that my 9 year old self could think of while watching the movie was how much I wanted to be the character played by Kim Darby. I thought she was beautiful, even though her costume was rather unflattering.

I'm a lifelong fan of Star Trek, and as a boy I imagined myself as Janice Rand. My best friend and I would often play out our own Star Trek adventures. I was invariably Kirk to my friend's Spock. One of our games involved the two of us finding ourselves alone on the Enterprise, our uniforms in tatters after a fight. For some inexplicable reason (!) all we could find to change into were female uniforms. Totally imaginary, of course. No actual crossdressing involved.

More in keeping with the spirit of the question, yes, I often see women in the street and wonder what it would be like to wear what they're wearing - but only if it's a pretty dress!

All the time, biggest problem is I'm big in the stomach so most of what I see wouldn't look good on me. My favorite dream is wearing a short skirt on the golf course, women look so nice there. Maybe someday...

I do that a lot of the time. It also gives me ideas on stuff that I want to try out and see how it looks on me.

To look and see what other woman are wearing is a wish that I would like to look as pretty and of course to dream of it being possible. At least one can learn on what will look good and things that for you you shouldn't .always fun to watch though. 🌹

Yes!! I always notice what she’s wearing and how it’s all put together.  When most guys are salivating over her, I’m salivating and admiring what she’s wearing.

I know I do, especially the shoes; I really want to look as sexy as a lot of women in my area. When I see something I like, it makes me want to get on amazon and shop away.

All the time, I also pay close attention to how other women do their makeup.

All the time, ladies.  Though to be honest, I am also admiring the woman wearing the clothes, but admiration of the outfit is also there.  The hardest case involved my sister.  I met her for lunch last summer, and it took all of my control not to ask her where she had bought her dress.  Instead, I elected to compliment her.

All the time.

I not only look at a what a woman is wearing but how she is wearing it. For example shirts...is she wearing it tucked in the jeans? I look at necklaces the style and length and comparing it with the collar style of the outfit.

And perhaps like everyone else I do look at the makeup. Many times I want to ask what eye shadow colour is she using or is that a matte lip stick?

I notice everything about a woman, what she has on, how she walks...everything. I wish I could just be me and wear what I want in public. I do get envious that a woman can wear what they choose but I can't. Yes I do wear women's jeans, pants and shirts because those really look not much different, but I want to wear my jeans skirts and other dresses without stares and comments.

I learned that people will stare and people will comment.  You just have to dress with confidence.  No matter what they say or how much they stare, you have to own the room!  Walk with your head up, shoulders back, and smile.

All the time, too! I love the endless choices they have with clothes. Shoes! where do you stop? I picture myself being able to wear what I want when I want. I am constantly comparing their breasts to mine. Are they similar to mine, bigger, no mine are this time. I love the way tops look with breasts underneath it. The bounce. The sway of them and her hips. I guess I am a lesbian when I am in girl mode. I just love the female form, period. Envious for certain.  Tina

I love the boyfriends think they know what we’re thinking.  I’m always thinking, “slay honey! Slay!”

All the time, even when I'm in male mode.
