I have only been cross dressing in earnest for about a year now and a conversation with my SO brought up the subject of when my (Becca) birthday was. We decided that it was when I first came out to her that I had been wearing a skirts while she was away on holiday and wanted to continue. We have settled on 28th September and on that date, this year, Becca will be one year old (but let's add fifty or sixty to that).

Do you have a separate birth date for your feminine self?

@rebeccabaxter

My trans birthday (traniversary) is September 1st.  Three years is right around the corner!

The date my legal name change was approved has special importance.  May 10, 2024.

I don't know the exact date I first wore women's clothes.  I was four years old.  Decades ago.

Thanks Fiona!  I will try to contain my excitement!  Only several adult beverages will be consumed!

My traniversary (Sept. 1st) is the date I started HRT.  But I realized I needed to transition months before that.  I wish I could remember the date.

17th July, the day I had my ears pierced.  My first full day after deciding that I was going to stay as Fiona 🙂

@rebeccabaxter I’ve been retired since January 2016. For non-legal purposes I use October 10 with the same birth year, 1948. That is the day that I publicly came out in front of about 125 people. My actual birthday is in December.

@rebeccabaxter I have a birthday that I use for all of my internet based activities as a personal safety measure.  It is not related to any specific event in my feminine discovery process.  My real birthday is something else.

No. But if I did, I believe I would celebrate it.

And why not! Seeing as this side of me has most probably been in existence since birth, I'll use the same date as his.

Thanks, Becca, now I have a double celebration 😊.

@rebeccabaxter Been dressing so long I never thought of it but I think if I had to choose one it would be the day I joined CDH as thats when things really started to change and when I Named River so  Ill use that. Thank you for coming up with this. Cheers RC

My birth date has remained the same as that was when Angela was born. Mum said if I were born a girl that's what my name would have been so we rectified it later in life. A bit corny and perhaps not in the spirit of the way the post intended I know but that's the fact.

Milestones are another matter such as the first time I dressed as a girl which was when I was four which was also the first time dressed outside for all to see, first bra at 13, first coming out experience nearly forty years ago, first work experience nine years ago, first full time job eight years ago when I went full time dressed and made new friends. Became an Aunty  five years ago......

@rebeccabaxter I suppose I do - my first time out, June 25th. As I've noted in other posts, I don't think of Melodee as another person, she's me, just a different way to express me. So for me the date is more of a novelty than anything I actually commemorate.

I am mildly paranoic, so I chose a random date, March 16, in a year later than I was born, while I was making my first feminine profile. I always use that date in my accounts. In fact I celebrate three birthdays every year, although I am the same person. Unique and unrepeatable.

I came out to my partner on my actual birthday, 3 years ago. She couldn't believe I chose my birthday to risk telling her, asking "what if it had gone wrong, and you'd be reminded every year?" 😆

Fortunately of course, it didn't, so I now get two sets of gifts on the same day. Result! 😁

My profile doesn't (didn't?) actually have a birth date in it because I'm very wary of putting sensitive information on line which potential scammers could use to build a profile of me (honestly, why people put their real details on Facebook is beyond me). However, now I've thought about it, I may well put my feminine birthday on the profile, I just have to decide how old I want to be because I certainly don't want to be 70.

@rebeccabaxter So I did. My only regret is not taking a couple of decades off. LOL.

From a practical side, no. Sure I can tell you the date of my first makeover, which changed my life and set me on the course I am today. But I don't celebrate it or treat it any differently.

@alison-anderson The same for me.  I've been a crossdresser as long as I can remember but my first makeover a little over two years ago was a life changing experience for me. It's a day I will always cherish but I don't treat it as a celebration day.

I have known since early childhood that I was supposed to be a girl, have always been feminine and have worn various feminine clothing throughout my years. My coming out to my spouse that I was a crossdresser came four years ago.  One year later I came to the stark realization that I had always been transgender, and on April 10 I announced that to the world. On May 25 of last year I found out that I was intersex, actually an intersex female, which validated how I've always felt and known deep inside.  So that is my birth date as the true woman I am today.

I choose Oct 30.  One day before Halloween so I could enjoy my favorite holiday twice as long!  Party on,  Marg

It's so long ago that i started dressing that i don't really know what day of the year i first dressed, so i just came up with a date which is 6 months after my real birthday which is 25th of October, my real birthday is in May, so in October if i can manage it I'll wear a dress to mark the occasion,

Hugs Rozalyn X 🤗

Hmmm, well probably around the summer of 1952, I'm guessing, It was definitely a summer day, and I asked my mother to make me a dress and she did out of kraft paper and I wore it outside (my myself) until it tore up, etc. My first time in a dress, so I guess that fits your suggested timeframe. I remember that moment rather vividly.
