I'm sure most of you have heard a group of guys giving a hard time to one of their buddies for saying or doing something "unmanly" and telling him he needs to turn in his "man card"...
Well ladies, it occurred to me today, that in order to get a "GIRL CARD", one should have to experience a full Brazilian wax session...LOL!
Of course, I'm kidding - but it made me laugh as I was getting my every 5-week Brazilian wax this afternoon. They're NOT especially fun, but you feel "oh so feminine" afterwards. And, to top it off, I had a full leg wax done today too - now I can shop for a cute bathing suit for the summer season!
If a Brazilian is a condition to gain a 'Girl Card' I think I'll look at other providers.
I could do with a full body wax, would that get me my girl card,
The place I go has this service on their menu, but most of the women will not do it for men. I have been getting waxed on full legs, full back, full chest and stomach, and full arms for 14+ years. Unfortunately the woman who I was working with the last few years is no longer there, and my last wax I found was longer and not as thorough. I'd consider getting the rest of me waxed but I may have to go further to do it.
I don't do my armpits, I usually keep them shaved. And I only occasionally do the eyebrows; I can usually keep up with a comb and buzzer. Recently I started getting my nostrils waxed every other month.
I try to get my grey colored out 3-4 times a year. My hair was quite long (almost to mid-chest) but I lost some of that battling cancer two years ago. I'm groowing it back out again, and it is already more than a hand's width below my shoulder. Despite the length, there is little volume and very fine hairs, traits I inherited from my mother.
A big reason to color out my grey is that the grey hairs are very wiry. Being fine, they frizz up easily, and even a daily flatiron doesn't keep them straight (and that's before the humid summers). The coloring helps keep my hair straight so it becomes more manageable. With my long hair, I can go to the beach or pool with some clip-on bangs and otherwise use my own hair, and still have a feminine look.
But I don't need any "girl" card or "man" card. I'm me, I do what I want, and if others don't like it, that's their problem. I don't need to prove who I am however I present.
I agree on the feeling afterwards. I have done 2 full body waxings and, honestly, they are quite enjoyable. Until the brazilian part of course. Part of it is that my hair is not exceptionally thick elsewhere but I actually feel pretty relaxed for the rest of it.
I just did a mostly full body shave yesterday (I can't do my pubic region; I just don't like bringing blades down there) and even then I was thinking how much better this would be if I just got waxed. The problem is mostly cost.
I have started looking into laser hair removal so I don't ever have to worry about this again but, again, cost plays a factor. That and it sounds like there is no guarantee it is fully effective. But, when one can get a wax, it is certainly a game changer.
I have my girl card, I shave my legs, have my ears pierced, get my nails done at a salon and in the process of having the hair on my chest removed. I also have all my girly things out on display in my closet.
While I don't do a brazillian, I do some significant bikini line hair removal and do wear bikinis so not hair can be showing. I gues that earns me my girl card. I also enjoy my waxing sessions, and have recently started regular nail appointments. It is just so fun to do regular such sessions.
I never had much luck with waxing. Never looked good and hurt. I prefer to use a body hair trimmer for the bikini line. It gives a smooth look for a day or two. The down side is you have to do it every few days. Worth it to avoid the pain and bumps.
I'm smooth as silk downstairs, front and back. Through trial and error I've managed to finally get it right.
I mostly shave but recently bought myself a hair remover for the more hard to get at places and it works a treat ❤️
Honestly , As smooth as that turns out to be and amazing, it sounds like it going to hurt a bit !!!
Have fun !

I shave from the waist down.... but the idea of trying to rip the hair off of my scrotum is.... owwwwww.......
No piercings, but I do have a somewhat regular manicure and pedicure...
I get a Brazilian waxing at least once a year. The feeling is just divine. I feel so feminine and feel the textiles of clothing as well. Luckily I am not very hairy
I don't like the idea of Girl Card any better than a Man Card. Each implies that it's something other people give, deny, or take away. With that off my chest, I have my legs waxed, depilate most of the rest of me, paint my nails regularly, wear earrings in both ears daily (even in boymode, gasp!), and keep the most feminine bedroom in the house. I have more shoes and boots than my daughter, and at least as much makeup as her and my wife. Please send my Girl Card c/o this address 😉

Well, said Nikki! We are who we are, and NO ONE can take that away!

I'll admit to being a bit lazy over the winter, but as of tonight the stamp on my girl card is renewed 🙂 Epilator on legs (meh), pits (meh) & arms (ouch!), roller wax on chest (meh), hard wax downstairs - this is not actually the most painful area for me, but a good quality wax is essential.
Legs, chest and downstairs used to be major ouch when I first started years ago, but the volume of hair is now much decreased and/or the follicles that are still working are used to it. I only started doing my arms last year, I'm hoping they get the memo sooner rather than later!
