As a sequel to Rikki's question of what are you wearing tonight, I am wondering if others feel as I do - that I sleep better in a nightgown than I do in boxers.  In a prior life, I tossed & turned in guy pajamas, briefs, boxers, or nothing.  Now every night is a choice of silky teddys, ankle-length nightgowns, satin pjs, a bra with warm comforting forms, pantyhose, and maybe lots of lace.  Do others find they sleep much better also?  What is with this very intense (and instant) euphoria upon awakening?

As have I, all my life. I don't think I could countenance wearing clothes in bed, my house is warm enough to make pyjama-wearing unnecessary (we have a multi-fuel stove that never goes out from September to April).

@annaredhead Yeah, I dumped my PJs when I was a teenager. I only slept with forms once, but I don't plan on doing that very often and my wife would probably look at me funny if I started wearing lingerie or sleep shirts now.

@harriette I will wear a nightie / lingerie set in the evening if I have been out running and put these on post-shower, but take them off at bed time.

@danikiss22 Absolutely. When I came out to my wife some 20 years ago she was the one who offered that I sleep in a nightgown if I desired. Of course I desired and so I did. I only wear panties since then and it's always a pretty nightgown or chemise for sleeping. I even tried silky pj's but I don't care for them. I much prefer something with a skirt hem. Some are midi, some knee length, some much shorter but I always sleep better that way. I don't always wear a bra and forms (depends on my mood) but when I do it's so comforting having that feeling during the night and when I wake.

Years ago I tried pantyhose or stockings when I slept but even though I loved the silky feel on my legs something about them didn't work for sleeping so I stopped.

Thanks Cheryl!  Maybe with the pantyhose it's the denier weight.  Last night I was wearing 10 denier and although I thought I shouldn't stress these babies, I just left them on.  Perhaps the panty portion is a lighter weight also.  I found on Amazon an ankle-length beach coverup its 100% lace and is also billed as a nightgown.  I love it because I can feel the lace brushing against me all the way to the tops of my feet. Turns out it is the most feminine nightie I have and it has held up well this past year.

@danikiss22 Hi there. I abandoned PJs in teenage years too. Always sleep nude except for 3 or 4 years I did sleep in a black lace nightie and a bra with forms. That is until I holed one of the forms and had to chuck that set. But I have my own natural breasts now (estradiol and progesterone) which I can cup for fun and excitement. Plus after telling my wife I get enough girl time usually during the week. I do toss and turn a lot so wearing something light and lacey will cause tangles etc.

@danikiss22 I am not sure any more. I have only slept en fem for over 5 years now, except for 2 weeks when I knee replacement surgery then spent 2 weeks at my daughters. So for me sleeping in panties, bra, forms and baby doll is just normal.

@danikiss22 Had to laugh at this one because I thought it was just me!  I feel so content and cozy in my sleepwear.

Dani -

Interesting question. For years I slept in my briefs or long johns until I opted to sleep au natural. There have been times when I've had the opportunity to sleep in a nightie and g-string. I don't think it changed the way I slept but when I woke up i the morning it was euphoric. On nights when I have a hard time sleeping it is not about what I am wearing or not wearing but about some issue that is causing my brain to not shut off.

XOXO

Paula,

Thank you.  Lipstick for sleeping.  I love that idea.  What would be a smart choice?  I have a "lip ink" style I think it's Maybelline, but it is a dry stick kind.

Putting on a silky nightgown over silky panties gives me joy and relaxes me which helps me get a good nights rest.  I only do this once or twice a week to not upset my wife.  She never wants to see me dressed and I am her caregiver and she can no longer be alone.  This became a problem for me and we talked it out an reached a compromise where I wear a nightgown to bed sometimes and cook dinner sometimes in a pretty apron and heels.  She knows if she surprises me in the kitchen what she may see.

Michelle,

thank you for what you've shared with me.  You have my respect and admiration, and I feel like you are my true sister.  And I'm happy for the joy and restoration you can feel when wrapped in comfort.

with love,

Dani

Isn’t it dreamy (pun intended) to go to bed having bathed in a sweet scented bath, then putting a feminine lotion on your smooth hairless body, taking care of your face and then putting on a pretty gown or some other very feminine sleepwear and melting into bed? This was my favorite way to sleep for many years. 🥰

PS: Like you Paula, I too put lipstick on! 😌

Ooh, Genevieve, you have me dreamy too!  What an inspiration you are, hon!  How foolish I've been not to do these things!  I must adopt your nighttime regimen, I'm almost woozy thinking about it.

Dani, I've slept En Femme since the early 90's and before that naked. Early on it was exciting to wake up wearing a silk nightgown, did I sleep better, maybe but natural for me anyway. Ending the day and starting the day dressed just feels right.

Leggings would be nice.  The waist isn't as tight as pantyhose, and if you're like me, it seems my feet get cold.  Been like that all my life.  Maybe.. do they come in something more slinky than the No Nonsense?

Hi Dani.   YES!!!  Sleep in girly wear.   Panties for me.   I fall asleep much faster and have very nice dreams!!   Sometimes naughty girl dreams.  I wake up a lot more refreshed.

I'm a fulltime girl, here is my getting ready for bed routine:

-Take my earrings off and remove my makeup

-Moisturize everywhere

-Apply lip conditioner

-Put my panties and camisole on

-Turn the lights off and hop in bed

-Sweet dreams every night!

Hugs,

Ms. Lauren M

I wear several different nightgowns and camisole sets to bed every night and have for years.  I sleep so much better when dressed in femme mode.

Hon, so envious.  I look at that smile of yours and see a natural girl.  Only a pretty girl smiles like that!

I tend to read for up to an hour before going to sleep (usually around 2.30 am) as I don't fall asleep easily. My wife is quite the opposite, she can go to bed (much earlier than me) and if I might go to ask her something, perhaps less than a minute later, she's fast asleep; I don't know how she does it.

I think I do sleep more soundly but it's been awhile since menswear so I can't say for sure.  Always in my panties with various chemise lengths and then a longer nightgown once it's cooler. I simply feel more alive with them.
