When I was a kid there was a local restaurant that had a pizza burger. One beef patty and one sausage patty sealed at the edges with pizza sauce and mozzarella in between. Messy and only good after a night of bar hopping.
When I was in the army stationed in Germany there was a local pizza parlor with many unique attributes. The name was Quasimodo's and they served authentic Italian pizza with a full slate of vegetables on every pizza. Ever have a pizza with corn, carrots, peas, green beans and potatoes? Uuh, yea. Anyway it was a truly international place. An Italian restaurant in Germany with a Japanese name for a French character (the Hunch Back of Notre Dame) that catered mostly to American soldiers.
I think I'll stay with my double pepperoni and double cheese on thin crust.

Who doesn’t like Pizza?
Except Holly 😇, no offense.
I’m a New Yorker so pizza is like a state food.
Thin crust, pepperoni, maybe sausage, a little extra cheese, oregano and basil. Hot enough to burn the roof of your mouth and should be eaten with care.
Vegetables are allowed, if used sparingly, under no circumstances should fruit (especially pineapple) be placed on a pizza.

I was just thinking about pizza the other day and how it's (well at least from my viewpoint) been viewed.
Back when the world was young, well, not that far but still, I belonged to our church youth group and on rare occasion for our Sunday night meetings, they'd send someone out to get a pizza, usually cheese or pepperoni, and it would be very thin crust, very crispy, and round and cut up into little hors d'oeuvre like pieces about 1" by 2" max and it was purely a late night snack...and absolutely nothing more. Years later, I would find that it had become a meal and now had a zillion toppings and a thicker crust, and flavors, and everything.
At that original time, I thought it, oh, interesting, nothing more than a very occasional snack, but when I wanted a real late night snack from someplace, it would be to go over to the McDonald's (or similar ) and get a hamburger and shake or something.
Now days we sometimes get takeout, or more often buy the premade that you cook in the oven, or way often my spouse makes it almost from scratch and she will put everything on it, except anchovies and pineapple, and mushrooms on half, and I get the other half with cheese, pepperoni, olives, onions, green peppers, a few other things.
It's sort of interesting how it's changed over the years.
Nothing like having everything on one meal. little bit of bread group then veggie group and meat and cheese group..
Oh poor person pizza is hamburger buns with ground beef and cheese and bell peppers. Among other favorite toppings broil in oven for little. Personal size pizza.

Actually could go for a real Chicago style pizza or NY style really good and always were super hot.
Remember those paper wrappings when delievered or carry out. Kinda miss that way back then when gettting a take out or delivery now its box hehe.
English Muffin Pizzas!
Toast an English Muffin cover it with pizza sauce and a slice of mozzarella cheese. Pop it into a toaster oven until the cheese melts.
Originally from New York, but now in New Jersey, the thin crust round pie pizza is the thing. And you have to eat it by picking up a slice and folding it.
While I'll eat any combination of mushroom, onion and peppers, everyone likes (or dislikes) something different. That means we usually end up getting a plain pie.
While I'll eat Chicago style too, I've learned that pizza outside these areas just doesn't taste the same. If I'm outside these areas, I usually avoid pizza.
We have occasionally made it from scratch (well we cheat a little with Italian seasoned tomato paste). The crust is a bit thicker but as it's homemade, it tastes pretty good.
I admit to being a bit of a pizza snob.
We’ve been on a couple of “Scott’s Pizza Tours” here in NYC. We walk to 3 or 4 pizza joints and discuss the different types and cooking methods. If you love pizza, it’s a great time.
Brick Oven, wood fired ovens are the best. When low moisture mozzarella is used it can pop into your mouth straight from the oven.
