So tonight I went to Brandy B's, a girls social event held in Brandy's private - and beautiful - house in Tonbridge, Kent. There were about a dozen or so girls there and it was just the most relaxed, friendly and supportive evening.
Brandy is an amazing hostess, even did my make up for me (she specialises in trans make up) and I just had the best time. All the girls were really friendly, some were regulars, others new like myself. Food was amazing too, and soft drinks or prosecco were included too. For £30 its a bargain.
If you live within driving distance of Tonbridge - or even want to come down and stay in a nearby hotel - I would definitely say give it a go. She holds s social evening usually on the last Saturday of the month, and I think 2 daytime socials on the first and third Thursday.
Even our friends in the States, if you are over here give it a try. There was a lady there tonight who was on holiday from Australia!

Look around, and it may take some digging to find, but there likely are such events closer than you think. There certainly are plenty of people who dress on your area, but they can be challenging to connect with since we are, understandably, a shy lot. If all else fails, start your own group.

Hi Rozalyn maybe we could organise a joint visit sometime if you come down. There are loads of reasonable hotels in Tonbridge for the night, and I could either meet you at the hotel so we could get ready together or meet you at Brandys if you'd prefer.
It really was a lovely evening, all the girls are very welcoming and friendly, and Brandy is just great! She does the make up for the Trans Living events and is really good at knowing what we need. Got some good tips too from her last night.

Oh me too Rozalyn, I'm 100% in the closet (well, maybe 99.9% now!). Wifey doesn't know anything.
But Ive already established a back story. My other "hobby" is wargaming aka playing with toy soldiers. So I told her that at the big national show last weekend I met a gamer who lived in Tonbridge who had invited me over to his for a game last night (almost fictional, though I do actually know a gamer in Tonbridge). Its something I do quite often, go to friend's houses for games, so she thought nothing of it. And of course he may host games at his house once a month, curiously on the same night as Brandy! You've just got to work, gradually, on a plausible back story that has at least an element of truth in it to allow you to come down south and spend a night in a hotel. All above board that bit, fully declared and everything. The rest however is up to you.....!!!

Hi Helen that sounds reasonable, I stayed down near Tonbridge a few years ago, I went to this thing called the war and peace show it's a big show every year about military and i was on my own because my wife doesn't like that sort of thing, I think it's in July i could always say i would like to go again, it's a week long event i could book for the week but i don't have to attend every day, if i packed some Fem clothes then i could perhaps meet up with you for a girly day and spend some time just being Roz, we will have to see if i can get away X

Wow small world. We used to put on games in the modelling tent at the War and Peace show every year! Sadly its been cancelled for the foreseeable future, I think they went bust!
But there are other shows, and other stuff along similar lines down here. The main one is Military Oddessy at the Detling Show ground. Thats on 26th - 28th August, which is the bank holiday weekend. Its also the last Saturday in the month, so a good chance Brandy will be hosting a social that night. And its about a 30 minute easy drive from Tonbridge, I came past the show ground yesterday. Might be something to work towards!

Yes it is a small world isn't it Helen, I went to the war and peace show in 2018 the year i retired, it's a pity it's been cancelled, I might try and see if i can get to go to the Military Oddessy one in August but I'm not sure if i can make it we are supposed to be going on holiday in September up to Berwick on Tweed for a week, I'll have to see if my wife wants to have a holiday on her own she's getting a bit depressed at the moment and needs to recharge her batteries, I used to get a whole week in September before the lock downs when she went away on her own, I'll have to see if i can persuade her to start having her holiday's again, so it's best if she goes away the last Saturday of the month when Brandy has her get together's , I'll keep in touch and let you know how things are going X
