I had a male Facebook and then created my femme one. I am only seen by friends and family. Every now and again they had 'People you may know' and in my femme one every one of my male list came up plus more. Clearly it linked the two.

I knew that this must mean that my femme profile  will appear on theirs! I cancelled my male one as I was fearful of being outed. I have had no one say anything but I am not sure how it all works.

I tried to set up one as Connie, but I had a sneaky feeing that the two accounts were linked. Maybe because of the IP address? Anyway, I killed that Connie.

CDH gives me all I was looking for.

I havent even used my drab one, in well over 10 years, I suppose it is still there, but idle.
There are, as others have said, just too many things integrated with Facebook.
CDH is the only social I need, or want

If I were out, I MIGHT.

But there are so many privacy issues with Facebook, I don’t like it anyway. I am trying my best to eliminate any service where the user is the product.

I only have an account for Olivia. I do understand how intertwined they are, but as I'm not hiding who I am from anybody in my day to day life it really doesn't matter that much.

Hi Michelle,

I agree with the other girls. Facebook is just too intrusive for Jillian to use. You never know and can not really control where your profile will pop up.

CDH gives me all the social media experience I need.

Hugs, Jillian

Hi Michelle I do have a face book account that was started over 10 years ago. I believe i added a few comments when I wanted to connect with old friends. I believe it a great tool for finding anything from old friends and even used furniture or even a new home. Like anything else in our new world of high technology and social media you have to take care what you post and who you post it to to. My female persona is only shared here. I trust the founder of this fabulous site. She has dealt with all the shame and secrecy we all have endured and still due for some. I believe CDH spends so much time and money to make this a safe place so we can all share those secrets we all have  for most of our lives and we all feel so strongly about. Keeping the trolls and admires out just make this place such a pleasure to part of and participate.  Just be careful about who has your screen name and password. That is up to you and you alone.  Bottom line just be smart what we put out there Our privacy is already gone as long as you own a cell phone or a computer at home,

Stephanie

I have a drab FB account, and as such I belong to several 'affinity' FB groups with which I'm fairly active. I very seldom post anything on my drab one.  My SO posts some family things on hers, that's enough for me.  A long time ago Yahoo had something like personal pages and I think I started one as my femme self, but they discontinued that some time ago (which I am sort of glad about) and since then I've never had the urge to go any further than CDH.

But...in another version of my femme self, I casually belong to a fanfiction somewhat RPG site and was very active in it (role playing to the hilt besides being a mod)...until it was hacked to death and disappeared completely for several years but is back now in a shell of itself. I still on rare occasions post there.

Nothing good ever comes from facebook.
You can quote me on that.
Family and friends you >personally< know, okay.

Angela, I would think that you are aware, but in the permissions required by Facebook, they have access to your contacts list and your gallery! If it weren't for international friends and pictures of my Son's family (my Grandsons and Daughter in law), I wouldn't even be on Facebook! I love the pictures of my Grandson Maddox and I working on my 1/5 scale RC Truck with me wearing a Camisole and long skirt that my Daughter in law gave me! 😀 💃💅♥️💋

Hi Michelle,

I have a male FB account primarily for family and close friends.

I also used to have a FB account under my femme name.  I had to shut it down after a few months because I was getting trolled by so many weird guys, it was no longer comfortable nor fun.  Be wary of public social media sites that are not monitored (like we are at CDH - that continually works in getting rid of annoying trolls).  Just my opinion, Take care, Hugs, Krista.
