Nightwear is my favourite. My wife and I used to buy matching when we’re younger now our likes have changed I love M&S Rosie range of nightdresses long nighties where my wife like the soft cotton range. We do still buy matching if we both like it and wear at the same time.
@thisisme I am so happy to have discovered another dresser whose wife likes them to match! My dressing began with something entirely different in my early 50s, but I was in 7th heaven when my new wife suggested that we matched in clothing. Although she didn't like me to wear overtly femme clothes, at the time, I felt sort of femme because we were dressed in similar colours. I suppose, in a way, she set the stage for my life after her passing.
I love to mix it up with different types of girly, satiny, lacy gowns. My favorite though is a splurge silk and lace knee length gown. It is so beautiful and feels heavenly. It also breathes so much better than satin so I don't wake up in the middle of the night in a sweat.
I have so many varieties of lingerie that it’s sometimes difficult to choose what to wear. But if I had to go with my favorite, it would be ‘Nights in White Satin.'

I just love my knee length, or above the knee satin nighties! They all have spaghetti straps. Nothing beats swinging your feet out of bed in the morning looking past the lacy hem of your nightie at your painted toenails! Except maybe slipping into a pretty floral kimono for breakfast with your wife! 
Unfortunately I don't get much opportunity to sleep in my femme nightwear. When I do though I have several lacy baby dolls in different colors to choose from and wear the thong or g-string that came with them. I also have a couple pair of pajamas that I've lounged in while watching TV with my wife. It would be nice if I could do that all the time but it is only when she invites Suzanne over that I get to do it and that isn't very often. Last year for my birthday we went away for a couple days which was special. She had me bring something for Suzanne to wear. I chose a pair of pajamas and panties to wear with them. In the evening she invited me to wear them. It was nice to hang out like that and when it was time to go to bed I went toa take them off and she told me to leave them on, a first from her. It hasn't happened since but one never knows what the future holds.

I sleep naked, have done since I was a kid. These days, our house is always warm in the winter because we have an anthracite burner which is on 24 hours a day. The walls of our old house are made of stone two feet thick, so they stay warm from the fire and, in the summer, they keep the place cool. There is no need for nightwear at any time. I would probably find it far too restrictive anyway.
I have 2 favorites, a short black nightie to sleep in, lovely satin, and a practical one ,brushed cotton for an early (very early) coffee on the terrace until it begins to get light !
I tend to be a bit more utilitarian. When I get the chance, I like matching spaghetti strap bralettes and bikinis from Woxer.
Yes, they have to match. It’s the law.
My favorite topic!!!!! I have so much beautiful lingerie to pick from in my wardrobe. I wear it to bed pretty much every night! I love my satin chemises which I wear to bed the most, but there is *nothing* like slipping into my white lace/satin/chiffon bridal nightgown/negligee which if I'm wearing that to bed it usually means my boyfriend and I will be making love that night. That negligee is heaven.

Short answer: Just a T-shirt, if that. I only recently started cross-dressing. I have been going about nude, whenever legal and practicable, since I was a teen.
My first wife, in the mid-80’s, liked sleeping and lounging while wearing only my T-shirts, which were quite very much oversized on her. (She was 4’ 11”. I am 6’.) That established my standard of what is sexy women’s sleepwear. I have simply slept nude, for most of my adult life, whenever there was adequate privacy, and adequately warm covers.
So, decades later, as I have begun cross-dressing, feminine nightwear is not (yet) a thing, except that some of my moisture-wicking over-sized hoodies are women’s, often acquired because they were marked-down. If a T-shirt is not quite warm enough, I will tend to wear a hoody, when sleeping or lounging.
