I'm fairly new here and the question I'm asking has surely been brought up before but I haven't gone back very far to check but just read Savanna Hauk's book "Discovering Your True Identity". Thought that was quite the book. Found a bunch of myself in it. Anybody else feel that way?
Hi Dawn,
Welcome, I say that finding your identity first begins with honesty from within yourself. . Do you believe and accept who you are and feel comfortable as you are and in what you do and feel at this moment. The identity you seek depends on what level you wish to advance too. But what is an identity? it's just another label, a pigeon hole of life. What makes you happy, contented and fulfilled in life is all that matters. Doing the opposite leads to an identity crisis becomes you haven't been honest with yourself.. Lol Amanda xx
I have both of Savanna's books but I haven't dug into them yet. Likely will before the end of the month though. I've read her blog and think her outlook is somewhat aligned with my view of things, although she's been doing this for a lot longer.
Was wondering when I joined here if she was a current or former member actually.

Dawn, I'm not familiar with that book, but I do have her book, Living With Crossdressing: Defining A New Normal, and I enjoyed. I'll have to look for that other book.
I think I'm still working through the process of finding my true self. It keeps evolving, as I come to terms with who I feel that I am. I'm only out to a handful of people at this point. But, it was a huge step for me to admit to myself that I'm a crossdresser and it's ok for me to crossdress. It's just who I am, and there's nothing wrong with that.
