Hi Everyone, As I shared in my introduction my life took a very different turn when my mother discovered me as Maggie a few months ago. She has been accepting and encouraging in more ways than I could hope for and has been helping me with my look. This week we will be going dress shopping together for the first time with me totally dressed as Maggie. I'm both excited and terrified at this level of exposure.
Thrilled for you Maggie! What a special Mom! She must be so happy to have a new daughter, whom she already knows and loves! Finally, you are the REAL you!
hugs, Stephie
I cannot agree more with Stephie…what a special Mum you have Maggie.
have fun shopping…let us know what you bought…and maybe, if you are OK with it, some photos?
Hugs
Christine
Nice, Maggie.
Enjoy your shopping expedition!

Yes, you will be nervous, but once you step into the store and start the actual process all that nervousness will disappear and you will find yourself enjoying the whole experience.
I felt it the first time I had a bra fitting, bought a dress en femme, or had a make-over, but the nerves disappeared and I enjoyed the experience every time.
Enjoy
Oh, and do report back on how it goes. I love stepping-out stories as I am sure others here do as well.
That’s wonderful Maggie,
Excited and terrified is exactly how I’ve felt each time I’ve been out as Lucy.
You go girl, and as JJ says, don’t forget to report back on how it went
Hugs
Lucy
Great, hope you have fun!

Gosh. it's difficult to recall my first shopping experience. I believe it was in San Antonio at a relatively discount type store. I bought 3 or 4 pairs of panties and 2 bras. I was scared to death but excited at the same time.
since then, i have ventured into Macy's, Sax 5th, Nordstroms, Soma™, Maidenform™, Olga Warners, tons of small boutiques that have high end stuff.
Thank you all so much for the encouragement. Last night was the night! It's funny how much time I worked on getting dressed to go shopping. Mom encouraged me to go as basic as possible, so I wore jeans and this cute top. I like it because it accents my breasts when I have forms on, but still looks pretty low key. I had a discussion with my mother about this because I'm never quite sure what to do with my breasts. Hers are not so big, so she told me she doesn't think about them in outfits too much. My forms are pretty large and I like them like that. She did my makeup for me and I felt really good about the look.
We went to a Macy's and I felt like a kid in a candy store. It wasn't too crowded, so I was able to mostly avoid close contact with other people. I did almost freeze up when I had to take clothing into the fitting room, but mom gave me the push I needed to go in. I ended up going a little crazy and buying six dresses and two pairs of shoes because I was such a high. They're all great, but this one is my favorite - https://www.macys.com/shop/product/calvin-klein-womens-envelope-neck-front-slit-dress?ID=17294807
All in all it was a great experience and I'm so appreciative of my mother for giving it to me.
