So, another milestone and a rather big weekend for me has arrived 🙂
Tomorrow night will be the first that I've spent away from home as Fiona: I'm going to Leeds First Friday to see what it's all about!
With getting up fairly early to get dressed and made up enough for a drive that could easily extend to 4-5 hours with traffic, it's going to be a long day at both ends, if you see what I mean. Evening make-up will be courtesy of the legendary Tracey Galligan of Femme Side Studios, whose partner Toni is the DJ at one of the LFF venues. Then off to meet the some of the others in the LFF Facebook group at a gathering in one particular venue, before doing the round of several of the other bars and clubs, hopefully. At some point in the wee small hours I'll roll back to my hotel and probably just collapse on the bed!
The adventure doesn't end there though. Saturday will by necessity be a fairly slow and quiet day, but all I have to do is get over the Pennines to check into another hotel in Warrington in the afternoon. Other members of A2OC will also be gathering here, ready for another early start on Sunday for a VW/Audi show at nearby Tatton Park in Cheshire. The meal we'll have together on the Saturday evening will be the first time any of them have met Fiona, with more introductions to come on the Sunday as others who have only known my male self arrive for the convoy into the show.
The outfits and the shoes are chosen, the suitcase mostly packed, just the toiletries to add in the morning. There will not be a single stitch of male clothing involved the entire weekend!
Being an old-fashioned girl without a smartphone, I'm going to be off the CDH radar as of very shortly, until probably Monday. It's not unlikely that a write-up of my adventures will follow in at least one subsequent post on this thread 🙂 Meanwhile, I hope you all have lovely weekends with busy femme lives, and I'll be back to chat with you again soon.

@finallyfiona Well, it's going to be an experience to remember that's for sure. I'm sure LFF will be just dandy & I hope it all goes well with the car club. Who know's? cars, for once may not be top of the agenda. Have a fabulous time.

What a weekend, I'm all worn out! LFF was a blast! I feel there is quite a lot to say about the weekend, but tonight I think I really need to sleep. It was also a long day today and there has been a long drive home. I will write something properly, but it will have to be tomorrow night, hopefully, or possibly later in the week. Meanwhile thank you all so much for your lovely wishes. I just wanted to pop in and let you know they came true 🙂

@annaredhead Thank you Anna 🙂 I can honestly recommend LFF to everyone no matter how closeted you are. Everyone is there in a dress, to whatever extent they pull it off, and 'how well' just doesn't matter at all - you can be as free as you want to be 🙂

I'm actually now wondering about combining the September LFF with another A2OC event starting on the Saturday, which happens to be in North Yorkshire. It'll be an even longer journey home, but if I wonder if I don't go quite so wild on the Friday night, whether I can actually pull it off. It's the 'not going quite so wild' bit that will be the hardest part though, I think 🙂
