I would love to go shopping but am too frightened in case I’m recognised. Can’t even leave the house in case my neighbour realises it’s me. Can anyone help out with some advice?

@lestay As a male, you can shop in person for your new clothes in drab. All you need is a cloth measuring tape and a thorough list of your exact body sizes.
For example, if you get dimensions from clothes that you already have that fit you well, then you can go armed into a store and you can separate the wheat from the chaff right away. Inseam length(s), waist, sleeve length, upper shoulder width, shirt body length, etc.
You can make like you are buying items for another person and measuring accurately will save you from using the change rooms or save you from dealing with returns. For example, you may find a nice top on-line, but you will never know for sure if the sleeves will fit over your arms until it is home and in your hands.
Once I figured out what outfits are my size online shopping has been my go to. Every time I go shopping in public I’ve had the same fear but after a couple times you the butterflies go away mainly because nobody usually blinks an eye.
