The movie Frozen had an interesting change when Elsa came out and decided to just be the person she was. She went from being a little girl in ballet flats to being a young lady in four inch heels, and had no problem walking in them immediately. Definitely got the impression the artist who did this knows the magic of being in a pair of heels. Heels are magical I tell you.

@gil I remember when I changed from being a little boy in scruffy flat gym shoes to a young lady in 4 inch heels….wonderful memories.  I don’t remember finding it difficult to walk in the heels at all. But I may be mixing up excitement and wonderment with effect.  But I do remember being frozen the first time I almost got caught!

@gil Absolutely!  They are so uniquely feminine and empowering as a woman!  I wear some form of heels every chance I get.

@gil First love the frozen reference Both frozen1 and 2 theme songs are relevant and on point.  Let It Go was the first.  but in frozen 2.  Show Yourself is also spot on. Plus Idena Menzel is so amazing. I agree and think someone overthere is a member of our community.  🙂  Secondly Heels Omg the first time I got some 4 inch + heels that did  not kill my toes . for me I feel so much lighter in them and they automatically train you to walk sexy with that tell tale sway and immediate feminity.  Short heels dont do this the same for me not just how they look but the stance and posture they demand.  The first time.. Immediately a light bulb lit up over my head and I thought wow I feel like I  understand so much more now.  meaning of life level stuff lol..  Have a great day RC

There is something about wearing and walking in a beautiful pair of heels that is so joyful that it is indeed magical.

Couldn’t agree more, I love the feeling of being tall in them, and the sound of walking across my kitchen floor in them is just to die for x

I really liked this post. Yes, we all have a bit of Elsa in each of us, CD or not, being ourselves is a struggle for so many people.

"Let it go" had so many lines that jumped out to me the more I listened. It describes the CD journey so well. Isolation (being a CD can feel lonely), holding in a secret, not wanting others to know, the rage within (battle of male vs female sides of us), and finally getting the courage to just be the person we want to be.

@lea-jhene how wonderfully put Lea. As you say it does tell our story. I need to go back and listen to it as I never paid much attention to the words. I find a lot of inspiration in songs. There are times I listen to one for a period of time and then finally hear it and the meaning of the song hits me. There was a time when I was depressed about a situation when Phil Collins song "Another Day In Paradise" came on the radio. I really liked the song but for the first time I heard the words and it made me think about my situation. As I did I realized my situation wasn't that bad compared to what others were, a wake up call.

As to heels - when I was a kid I would wear my mothers when playing with my sisters. When I came out and got my own heels it was amazing. My wife was surprised when I had no problem walking in them. I love the sound they make when walking on the hardwood and linoleum floors. I've worn them to my therapy sessions a couple times. It is fun letting the heel slip out and dangling them off my toes.

XOXO

I first tried on a pair of stilettos a a great many years ago, long before I started CDing. I was surprised at how [relatively] easy it was to walk and I could have imagined that I wouldn't haven't taken long to become quite at home in them; I think the heels were about four and a half inches. Roll on a decade or two and I try again, dressed as a woman, but now my knees are years older, nothing bends as much as it used to and trying to take a step in four inch heels nearly threw me into the wall -- couldn't straighten my knees and I looked like Bambi on ice when I tried to do anything other than just stand up (inelegantly) and stay up. It was such a shame but I had to accept my limitations and get myself some 2" heels which I find quite comfortable for reasonable distances. If I'm going out for a while, it's a skirt, top and some white trainers -- as per a picture on my profile -- so much easier than heels and in the right circumstances, just as feminine.
