Yesterday my wife and I went Thrifting. She was looking for a storage cabinet for the bedroom. We went to 3 different thrift stores. In each one we looked for a storage cabinet for her but also checked out other things, including clothes. It was a wonderful day for me between the 3 stores I got a pair of heels (my size isn't always on the shelves), a lace scarf/shawl, a pink sweater with lace trim on the hem, 2 midi length dresses and 2 pretty blouses. My wife helped me pick them out and actually was the one to find the blouse. She even had me try on the heels to make sure they fit. When we got home I put on a little fashion show and everything fit very nicely. My wife even commented that she may have to borrow some of the items. It is wonderful having such a supportive wife. We talked a bit about her acceptance of my dressing from being upset and feeling betrayed when I first came out to her to where now she helps me shop, put on make up and invites Suzanne to spend the day. She says its ice to dress up every now and again.
To those whose SO isn't very supportive - give it time they may warm up to your dressing as mine has.
XOXO

Sounds like a great day together. When you receive help form your SO it is a nice reassuring feeling that they do truly accept this side of you.
so wonderful to read post like these such a wonderful day and a supportive SO makes that even better sounds like a wonderful time you both had and found some wonderful items indeed hugs 🤗
Really is great having an SO that is supportive. I came out to mine almost a year ago now, and she has gone from feeling betrayed to being my biggest fan. I wear whatever I like around the house and she helps with make up. Best thing I ever did is come out of the closet!

I am generally not a thrift store shopper; I just don't like the general poor organization. That said, I was in a small gold rush town on a motorcycle ride and stopped for lunch. There just happened to be a thrift store there so I went in and was greeted by two lovely elderly ladies. I wandered around and found a lover skirt, chemise and blouse which I purchased. The ladies were all smiles and happiness, and no doubt had a good bit of giggles after I left.
You are S.O. lucky Suzanne. It's always good to read about accepting partners.
