Hi Everyone!
Today I started playing a new video game. Shin Megami Tensi V Vengence. Interesting that the main character is male but looks quite femme to me. They asked for a first name, I put Autumn. They asked for a last name I put Valiant. After a short story involving students in a high school in Tokyo, Autumn Valiant is transported into a future post apocalypse version of Tokyo where there are demons everywhere. Not to worry a sort of Angelic spirit bonds with Autumn Valiant and her appearance changes drastically. Suddenly she (he ?)has very long flowing blue hair, and a form fitting suit reminiscent of a super hero. I haven't gotten far into the story yet, but the Angelic fused mind gives instructions and sounds very male. The whole time the main character is referred to with male pronouns but the presentation screams female. I fell like I am playing a CD dual spirit character.
I was wondering if anyone has played this game and what they think of how the main character is presented.
I was also wondering if there are any other video games out there that either subtlety or obviously present gender in a way that ladies like us can appreciate.
I would love to know
Hugs,
Autumn
I used to write text adventure games, aka Scott Adams style when I was a teen...wow that was a long time ago..Recently I've found a few modern era games out there that were interesting. I remember their plots but dont remember the name of the game. And I can't describe the plots here as they would violate the rules of CD heaven.
Counter Strike 2. No long-winded preamble, no tedious grinding, just two-minute skirmishes that you can dip into when you have a spare moment and fancy shooting someone in the head (or get it done to you).
I wish I knew what you were talking about. Does 'Snakes' on my little Nokia count?
