Ghosts

Growing up my sister would hear sounds like screeching, thumping on the stairs and  banging on walls.  My mom jokingly said the house was haunted by ghosts or spirits.  I never heard what my sister heard.  But as we learn “Mother knows.”

It made sense as we grew up in the Puritan New England area.

My Dad passed away just 2 years ago. We moved to Alberta. The move was at the point where I was doubting about moving or if I should be here.... I had gone into a Canadian Tire store and saw this man who dressed and looked exactly like my dad....... I got a pic of him and this man walked by me and smiled a very warm smile.... I turned around and could not find him.... I went thru the whole store... nothing not even the parking lot... I sent a pic to my brothers and they could not believe it.... I told them the whole story.... never ever seen that man again..... I mean gone in 15 seconds....

Alice, New England? Ya, lots of ghosts, I believe it is ghost central.

Not to bring anyone down but, I have stood face to face with pure evil. Not a nightmare but, a thing in the form of a person I met that the hair on the back of my neck stood up. To this day when I think about it it affects me.

Maybe someday I will write a book about it.

Yes, Life exists beyond physical death, or at least our consciousness does and children and pet's with thier clear sences, not yet polluted by family and social nonsence, often see "ghosts" or spirits. We are energy beings that are inhabiting a biological body for the purpose of learning, experience and developement, and energy is constant. So I'm sure your child is seeing "ghosts", maybe family members who have passed or spirit guides.

I could tell you a few stories......but I'll just share one.

In college I lived one semester in a dorm that was reputed to be haunted by the ghost of a student who committed suicide there. I never gave it much thought since the idea of ghosts and spirits wasn't unknown to me and I was very comfortable with the subject. One night I was cramming for a test in a lounge in that dorm. The lounge had a stair well on one side and a hallway to another part of the dorm on an adjacent side. Both doorways had doors. I looked up from my studies for a moment and was thinking about something I read and how it might apply to the test the next day. The door to the stairwell seemed to turn white, then I realized the white was moving from the door to the center of the room where it then moved left towards the door to the hallway, it went towards the door and at the door quickly thinned out and faded away as it seemed to pass through the door.

Hi Danny,

You might be right about a higher level of paranormal occurrences in New England.  And it’s not unusual for one’s hair to stand on end in such a situation.

My wife and I were at our friends farm house and we were having dinner with them... I went to the washroom where it is also their laundry room. The washer and dryer doors were both open and both front loading so no power at all... They did say their  brother Bob always visited the house and this time the washer started to beep and make noise like it is going to start. Yes I was sitting doing my thing and did it much faster!! I went out to the living room and our friend said those washer and dryer are suppose to leave to door open!! I said they were and this is why I did my thing fast the door were open and they were making beeping noises!! I said bob enough and stop that now... LOL They said yep it is bob telling us he is here... Just to prove it was bob they showed us the machines are unplugged because of not enough outlets and they blow fuses...

The house I live in was built in 1936.  Mom bought it in 1973 and lived here until she passed away.  Sis deeded her half to me and I moved back in about 6 months after mom passed.  The original owner was one of the county judges back then, and after him, Dan Blocker's uncle owned it and that is the estate mom bought it from.

Anyway, When ever I come in from a night out, I always sit on the edge of the bed to undress and get ready to bathe or shower.  I ALWAYS put my earrings and necklaces and other jewelry on my nightstand before I go to the bathroom to take care of things.  When I get up in the mornings, I put my jewelry in the jewelry box and pick what I will wear for the day.

Not long after moving back in the house, one morning, my earrings and necklace from the night before were not on my nightstand.  I looked all around on the floor for them and under the edge of the bed, but could not find them, but my watch and bracelet were still there where I left them.  I searched all over as I went about my daily routi9ne but never found the items.

Now, to get to the hallway to the bedroom, you have to walk by the entertainment center in the living room, which I do about a million times a day.  About a week later, I walked by it, and in the center top section the earrings and necklace caught my eye.  I know I had looked all over the entertainment center and they were not there before.

This has happened now to several pieces of my jewelry, screwdrivers and even my main pair of glasses once.  They are missing for about a week, then I find them in plain sight somewhere other than where I left them.
