I have a going out question.
I'm just starting dressing in outer clothes, don't have any dresses yet, I have no wigs or makeup. Heck, I don't even have any idea on how to do makeup. Lol. My question is, do any of you girls go out wearing a dress and heels without makeup and wig? Until I learn how to do makeup and get a wig, this is the only way I'll be able to dress.
Also, I know going out in my boring guy clothes is "drab" and fully dressed and made up is "en femme", but what is this called, if anything?
Stephanie
Hi Stephie,
I do! While I occassionally dabble in make-up and have a decent wig, those aren't that important in making myself feel ME. For many it takes quite some doing to go outside without being full femme or non femme, but I'm pretty comfy with who I am.

En Drabbe?
Stephanie...
Where the world is at the moment, it's never been easier.
I sometimes look out of the window, early evening, nice weather...oh yes....Walkies!!!.
but i'm not putting on the full warpaint for a half hour walk!!!
I often go for a " last minute " look.......instead of wig and makeup....it's glittery bobble hat pulled down and a face mask and trademark glasses...
Leggings, ankle boots and coat....simples.
I soon just disappear into a " faceless " crowd...
dont let " lack of anything " put you off.
Huggs, grace x
Olivia...
I love your attitude...you are happy and so you do what makes you feel good...and although I do venture out for short walks not fully fem, personally I much prefer the "works".....it's what makes me feel good!!!....and confident. When I'm dressed and made up, i don't give a monkeys what anyone thinks.....
It's great that there are so many different strings to our bows ...I love diversity.

Stephanie,
I present as you describe on a daily basis. I never wear a wig, and rarely wear makeup. My natural hair is military short and I sport a neatly trimmed goatee and mustache which my wife absolutely adores. That being said, I generally wear women's attire while presenting as the proud man that I am. Most individuals with whom I interact return the respect that I show them. Many have also complimented my outfits, my confidence, and my courage. The few who don't agree with my clothing choices simply decline to interact with me. Feel free to check out my private gallery for examples.

Stephanie, most of my outings are just partially dressed, but usually nothing super feminine. I often wear a baseball cap in lieu of a wig, and a mask is my alternative to doing makeup. I'll go out like this in a t-shirt and short shorts, a short running skirt, leggings, or skinny jeans. I know I don't "pass", but the mask gives me enough anonymity to feel secure.

Hi Stephanie, I go out everyday en femme and don't wear makeup and don't wear a wig (mind you my natural hair goes well past my bra strap so no need for a wig). And I pass quite fine most of the time. I live in NW Canada and CIS gals mostly wear jeans or leggings. So that's what I wear. For example, when I go to stores, I wear female skinny jeans, female casual flats, female socks, bra, panties, and usually an androgynous top. And I carry a messenger bag which looks like a large purse. I'm most often called Ma'am but a few clerks have figured out that I'm not a ma'am. I only wear makeup on occasions when my wife is out of town - she knows I'm a CD but she doesn't wear makeup, so I guess she figures that I shouldn't either. I don't have much facial hair to hide, have soft features, no Adam's apple and with the long hair, this all helps me pass without having to wear makeup. Being retired, I change into four or five femme outfits per day. Pretty lucky gal!!!!! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Krista.
Hi Stephanie!
The only thing lacking during my en femme outings are my high heels. So I guess that makes me a "Partial Outdoor CD", if that's what you want to call it. It's getting colder here in Ontario, so boots are more sensible than heels, so maybe "Practical Girl" is better?
I have worn an LBD with pearls, black tights, cute hiking boots, and light jacket fully opened to reveal my dress and pearls. I also wear some basic make up, like pink lipstick and mascara. My hair is naturally long (platinum blonde), so no need for a wig. Lucky me.
I dunno... those heels are a dead giveaway. Not sure if I'm ready for any public rebukes and what I might say or do (my area is quite red-neck, and so am I to some degree!)
But, as many have said here and in other posts, nothing will probably happen and I agree the world is getting better. In fact, I've got a nice, long-sleeve, open-front cardigan on it's way that looks quite femme. I will wear it during my park walks this week. I may even go for a drive and pose on the hood of my car and in my heels too!
Such fun this is!

Hi Stephanie,
I am always either partially or fully Dressed; I refer to the former as "Lulu-lite". Flats, GV jeans, jeggings or capris, androgynous top, and no makeup (or maybe just brows). Always my real hair and earrings, and always bra and panties.
Hugs,
Lulu
Public cross dressing in the snowy winter months is so easy. I do it all the time if we're going someplace i know that nobody knows me.
I don’t have a wig, or heels. And I never wear makeup. But I go out in public in a skirt or dress three or four times a week.
