This was a very nice weekend. Yesterday we went to a local street fair. I was wearing my usual denim capris, white shirt with a lavender under shirt, and my floral pattern sneakers with rose and lavender colored flowers. I was also carrying my lavender colored, suede clutch bag. One of my favorite outfits.I was In a booth speaking with an artist and she said, "I love your outfit, you look so good!" I was thrilled to say the least, and responded saying it is one of my favorite outfits. Oh, wife was also with me. Later, i was standing outside a store front people watching while my wife was picking something up. I caught the eye of a woman walking by and she said, "I love your shoes, they are so cute." I smiled and thanked her, and I was in the clouds!!! I felt so good walking around the rest of the day! Today we walked to town again and were at a drug store. I was wearing Lite gray capris, matching shirt, and obviously femme casual shoes. I picked up somethings and saw my wife was speaking to another couple. I hesitated at first, then went over and it turned out to be our old real estate agent whom we got to know really well. She and her acquaintance looked at me and she said "Hi!" "Look at you in your capris, you look so good and comfortable!"I said thanks and gave her a big hug. we chatted for about ten minutes then walked home. This was one of the first times I really ran into someone I knew, and in obvious, femme clothing that she recognized. It was again a great feeling!! What a weekend!!

How wonderful for you. It is great that you were able to wear your favorite outfit and receive the compliments you did. It's extra special that you saw someone you know and the positive reaction you received. It is wonderful taht your wife was with you. Hope you have the opportunity to have more experiences like it in the future.

I love such comments and I usually take them in one of two ways. One is that they truly mean it and that I pass and am just getting a nice compliment, or the other is it is the persons way of saying it is okay to dress and I want to validate your choice. Of course both can be true and probably most of the time are. While I think I look decent in a dress, up close I really don't pass, not do I care, so I love the comments as a nice validation of my choice to dress en femme.
Yup. I am not wearing makeup or a wig, but am truly a "guy" in woman's clothes. That may change over time. I want to start wearing Lite make up, we'll see.
So happy for your great weekend, Becka. For me some of the compliments like that are unexpected and sometimes hard to react to. This can go both ways to, since my nails are colored most of the time theses days I often throw a compliment to a GG's pretty nails. It is so fun the HUGE variety of things that can be done with the nails.

Yea Becky such a thrill sis we all feel when validated. Just remember too it is just as important to pass such compliments to other girls as well to make them feel the same. No harm in complimenting women on their outfits shoes or nails now.
Oh I do all the time. in fact this all started with me complimenting her on her very long and beautiful hair.
