Welcome to the Halloween Season Ladies! For many of us, it’s our favorite time of the year!
Some of us might even go out to the stores this season to buy a new “cheap” wig for ourselves. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with that. A few years ago I, like many others, had purged and yes my wigs went too. So when I finally came back to my senses and cursing myself out, I wanted a new wig to tide me over until I could finally buy a new nice one. It was after all Halloween!
So I went out to the ‘W-store’ and bought one off the rack. Well, one cautionary tale to tell. If you’re in the closet, and your SO doesn’t know, make sure to be careful as these wigs, well they tend to shed when brushed out, like a hairy dog in the summer. They will leave strands on your clothing and on the floor as well as in your brush. So be extra careful if you ever need to go this route. I have nothing against a $12 wig, beside looking like a $12 wig, and the shedding.
Yes, I got caught. I even showed it to her. I told her I was going to use it as part of a costume of being part of a rock band for work Halloween party. Which I did the next year.
So just be aware that extra strains of blonde, brunette, or even Amber hair might be seen on your bathroom floor. Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!
My most favorite time of the year it's when I'll go out in public dressed as Erika. Can't wait til Halloween, wish it lasted longer. going to a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween weekend I'll be dressed as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and my wife will be Columbia, on Halloween my wife and I are going to a Party, I will be dressed as Velma and my wife as Daphne from Scooby-Doo
Yes, I enjoy this time of year. I think we can get away with anything so to quote a movie, let your freak flag fly!
I have been having those exact same thoughts abut a wig! Brilliant minds think alike, yes? LOL
I would love to try some long hair. I have five days at home alone coming up.
Have a great weekend girls.

Saw at the wal-store today, adult size auburn wigs for 12. Come down far enough you could even shorten it if you wanted too. Now is the time to look, all will be gone soon.
I bought one today and was thinking I might try to braid the hair.
I was thinking of a wig from the Halloween store, but my go-to wig fits my costume very well. Yes the hair is a bit longer and darker than the character, but it doesn't distract from it. The same with the shoes; I'm wearing a different color shoe, but it doesn't take away from the costume.
When I was 17, I bought a couple of wigs at a wig shop. That was a huge step. They allowed me to go out femme. They must have been pretty good quality wigs because I wore them all through college. Of course I had to take care of them.
Then several years ago I began dressing again. I bought some shoes, dresses, bras, pantyhose and dresses. But to go out femme, I needed pretty hair. I bought several wigs from a party store. Some of them were good for only a few wearings and tangled easily. But there was a few that were pretty good. I still have them and do wear them occasionally.
Of course since then, I've purchased several better quality wigs. There is definitely a difference. Still, a few of those cheap party store wigs still look good and I do wear them occasionally.
I plan to be a Princess this years Halloween. So I got a wig coming in the mail I am gonna wear on Halloween.

Braiding the hair is such a cool idea. I never thought of that. That would be awesome. Especially in auburn.
