Hi girls! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I recently placed a large order for some feminine things. My credit card took a beating, haha. I was wondering if anyone has had a package with your girl things that has been delivered to the wrong house. This happened to me a few months ago, but thankfully it wasn't anything like I just ordered. I also received someone else's package not long ago. I am kind of paranoid, because several packages are on the way. I will be relieved when everything is in my hands and not someone else's 🤣

@samarawilson YES, my first wig was misdelivered to a house a block away. Since I received a package for that house I went over there and was able to switch them without incident.

@loneleycd Wow, close call. Glad to hear you knew where it got delivered. The only thing I received so far from my order is a breastplate. Glad that made it here safely. 😀

@samarawilson Mine was easy I got thier package and they got mine. Boy having a breastplate misdelivered would be a nightmare.

@loneleycd That's for sure. I live in a pretty small town. The news of that would spread like wildfire 😱

@samarawilson I agree, living in a small town can be a scary thing to get over. My town is only 1300 people and I am out everywhere. I still feel self conscious going out of the house, but I do a few times a week.

For me I have made it a little more complicated. I am now a month into retirement and presenting as Cassie full time. Most people don't care, or those that don't know me just see me as another woman ( I think I am passable??).

@loneleycd Yes, definitely. I think if I was in the city it would bother me less. I have seen a couple cross dressers around in the stores over the years, not not many. Being retired and living full time as a woman sounds fantastic 😀 You are definitely passable, hon 😘

@samarawilson  I'm so glad the fear isn't just mine.  I have neighbors I do not get along with to start so the last thing I need is for them to get something embarrassing.  It's happened to me a couple of times but for most deliveries I've received notifications and a photo so I know which door to run over to and grab it before they could open it.  Without an SO living in the house it would be a difficult thing to explain.

On the other hand, Lana does like living on the edge with dressing.  Wink

@lanam I actually hardly ever see my neighbor, but she knows my Mom, so I hope if she ever got a package like that she would bring it over and not open it 🤣 😀 There is definitely nothing wrong with living on the edge!! Huge Smile It can make it kind of exciting 😎

I've been fortunate not to have that happen. If you had to explain about a package. I'd say it's a gift for someone! (ME lol).

Recently a lady said her package came via the state department of transportation. They were working beside the road and noticed packages in the ditch. They were aperently dumped there by  a delivery driver.

No need to explain ourselves. If we don't understand this enfem desire. They won't understand it either!

Sorry about your wounded credit card. At least you are exercising your shopping genes!

@gafran Haha, thank you! I will say it is a gift for Fran 🌹 The best thing I can hope for is they wouldn't open it, but if it happened, all I could say is "oh well". That's the way life goes sometimes 😋 Thank you, hopefully my credit card will recover soon. I like the exercising my shopping genes comment!! 🤣

@samarawilson Yes, so I generally have parcels addressed to my wife.

I prefer to shop in person, even going in drab, most places are welcoming,

@samarawilson It gets easier. The independent shops that I frequent know what Anna looks like which is helpful for finding things.

Hi Samara,

No, nothing has happened like that.

In normal mail delivery the same house number but on a different street and nearby town has been put in the mailbox.

Generally, order little on line, but something to remember when items are odered on to make sure the mailing address is correct. Like to shop in person to make sure the size is correct and see if surely fits Brandi's style.

Hugs,

Brandi

@brandicd11 Hi Brandi, I really do want to work up the courage to shop in person, so I can make sure things fit. I have gone through a lot of trial and error with the sizing issue by ordering online. I, also think it would be exciting trying  things on in a store 😘

@samarawilson For several years now, I’ve been having my Amazon deliveries at a “locker” near my home. This provides the anonymity I need, while also ensuring a safe delivery.
However this limits me only to Amazon orders, because other companies don’t offer a locker delivery for free.

@gemmalovegood I don't think I have a locker near my home. I should check it out, though. If I want to be safe, it would be worth the drive 😎

@gemmalovegood I have had good experiences with Amazon lockers too.  It's great to know precisely when the package is available for pickup and that is secure.  Sure it is limited to Amazon orders but with the range of products the have, it works out well.  I have also had good luck ordering items for pickup in stores such as at Macy's.

@lauren114 Ordering from a store and picking it up there is a good idea too. I didn't think of that. 👍

It's happened a couple of times since I started living authentically.  Both times the tracking app had a photo of my package delivered to a house I didn't recognize and had no hope of finding.  I had to wait a week each time to see if the package would magically appear.  Nope.  I got refunded and had to order again.  Really annoying.

@lizk The time it happened to me, (thankfully it wasn't female related) I called and they immediately sent out a replacement and I ended up getting the original too because it was my next door neighbors house. More nerve wracking when I am ordering wigs and breast forms, haha.

Amazon lockers are a good option if you have one near you.  They're secure and the chance of a misdelivered package is nil.

@samarawilson yes, it was one of my first orders and i was still figuring myself out. I ordered a few dresses, makeup and 2 pretty large breast inlays. When it arrived i wasnt home and it went to the neighbors and to my horror and surprise the breast inlays were VERY visable at the side of the plastic packaging!. After this happened all the F's i used to give were gone. If a neighbor were to open my packages they are in for a very fabulous surprise 😜

@crazycynthia Wow, It seems like they would have shipped it discretely. I know it doesn't happen a lot, but it only takes one time to cause embarrassment. Yes, my neighbors would be quite surprised if they opened one of my packages, too 😲 😆

@samarawilson you cant stop it from happening. Best you can do is own it if someone ever opens it. Judging by your profile pic you look fabulous dressed! That means they must either be impressed by your fashion sense or jealous, both cases you win, princess!

@samarawilson not long after I moved to a different city, I ordered a pair of heels in my not so feminine size. Well, I forgot to change the preferred shipping address when I sent the order. The heels were delivered to the couple who purchased my previous home! I didn’t know this until I received a call from the woman about the package. At first I was mortified to silence, but then just simply asked if she would be kind enough to ship them to my new address and I would reimburse her for the expense via Venmo. She thought that was a great idea and that was that!

Hi Samara,

I hope you get your misdelivered order.  Call the company.  They should have a photo of the house it was delivered to and perhaps the door will have a number on it to identify where it was delivered.

I have had orders delivered to the wrong address but it wasn’t as personal as girlish things.

@aliceunderwire Hi Alice, I did end up recovering the lost order from a while ago. If it wasn't for that incident, I probably wouldn't be so paranoid now. It doesn't happen often, but it only takes one time to cause embarrassment if someone sees my wigs, haha.

I rent a unit in a storage complex. Everything I buy on line goes to there. I've also used postal service storage lockers, but given its just as easy as the above and I dont have to worry about codes to open the locker, see above.

Hi Caty, luckily it doesn't say on the box what is on the inside, because someone I know very well works at the post office. It still makes me a little paranoid about having it sent there, haha.

Samara, I've only ever placed one online order and it all arrived to the right address and when I needed it to arrive (I had a few day window when I was the only one home).  Phew!

Now, I just go to Glamour Boutique and shop in person.  No worries about shipments getting messed up.  I'm fortunate that it isn't too far a drive for me to do this.

@sophie85 That sounds like fun.  I would love to shop in person, but I'm not quite there yet. Maybe if I drove somewhere that wasn't local I could talk myself into it. I think if I did it once, the fear would subside, haha.

@samarawilson Shopping at Glamour Boutique has always been a comfortable shopping experience.  I've got dressed there to try things on, come underdressed, left fully dressed, or just picked things up.  They make it a pleasant experience for CDs.

From what I have heard, there are other places all over that are CD shopper friendly.  I've even heard of more mainstream stores like Torrid to be CD friendly places to shop.  Ask around and you may find some in your area.

Trying things on was a necessity I didn't realize I needed.  I turned down or sized up/down many dresses/tops/skirts because I was able to see how they fit with my shapewear and breastplate.  I never had a comfortable pair of heels before buying the first couple pairs I tried on at GB.

@sophie85 I will have to look into some places. I need to branch out. I have ordered things in that past that haven't fit correctly. I either threw them away or just let them sit in the dresser. It really scares me to order shoes. I know they can be hit or miss. I actually thought about going to the shoe store and trying on some womens shoes. Maybe that will be the first step for me 😊

That's never happened to me, but then again being married it wouldn't matter.  The neighbor would just make an assumption and move on. If you are single then that's another thing altogether.

I’ve never had a package delivered to the neighbour, my packages go to a local post office. But I have picked up a few items at the post office that were not sent in discreet packaging. I hope the postal worker liked the colour of my new blue leggings and black satin cami… the joys of online shopping lol…Jo 😂
