Every 3 weeks I go to see my nail lady who paints my nails for me and I always go dressed. This involves parking in the town and walking to her saloon, not too far but any distance when dressed needs courage. But today I don't care I have spent all morning trying to get my hair and face just right. I am wearing white trainers with flesh coloured tights, dark blue skirt just below the knee, a green long sleeve top with matching green ear-rings. I have decided to also take a longer walk to the bank and do you know I don't care, I sit here typing this and feeling me, the true me.

@randialex Randi, this is wonderful 🙂 Having your nails done is one of life's pleasures, isn't it. I get really good girly chatter where I go, too! And then you get the pleasure of seeing them with everything you do with your hands ... it just helps you to feel feminine 😊
It doesn’t seem like you need any luck Randi, you’ve got this down. I’ve never had the courage to go get my nails done, much less do it dressed. I’m so impressed!
Sadly, nails are one of the few rules my wife has. I'm not allowed painted, nor false nails. My wife says it's a step too far... I'm sitting here fully dressed. I've been in Cerys mode for 4 days. I have pierced ears, and a female hairstyle, yet painted nails are too far???? I can't work it out, but if it keeps my wife happy, I'll not rock the boat.

There are many males (not crossdressers) that get their nails done (fingers and toes) at nail salons and wear they pretty painted nails 24/7 most with the encouragement of their wives. I am a feminine male (women's purse, women's hairstyle) and wear fire engine red nail polish on my toes and women's Birkenstocks everywhere. I get a lot of compliments on my red pedicure. It is 2025 and painted nails are not a big deal. Check out the reddit group called "male nails" and you will see that thousands of men get mani/pedis and wear colored nails polish like a girl.
@jamie001 while I agree, men with painted nails is not very common, but the numbers are increasing. I have been paying attention to this for a good ten to fifteen years, and the number of men with painted nails I can count on both hands without having to use my toes...which are of course painted at the moment.
...and I live in southern California where such things people are pretty accepting about.
@jjandme The group is actually called reddit malepolish and there are over 300,000 members. Wearing nail polish is not a big deal. The fear is really in our own minds.
I have been to get my nails done in a fabulous saloon and I get the same girl every time , she is really nice and non judgmental. I take my own nail varnish which she apples for me after tending to my nails with great detail. It’s just amazing and getting accepted , although I am not fully x dressed I do wear a nice blouse and cardigan , ladies slacks, a bit of lippy and my handbag. It’s just a wonderful experience and often the other customers chat to me and last time a lady complimented my ring and pendent that I was wearing , it’s just such a lovely feminine treat.
