I have a mild to moderate hearing loss.

In male mode, depending on where or what I am doing, I will wear my hearing aids.  Some female voices are particularly difficult for me to understand, especially soft-spoken women.

In female mode, I encounter some difficulty wearing the hearing aids with certain wigs, either they feel uncomfortable, or they partially obstruct proper operation of the hearing aids.  My audiologist is working closely with me on this, and we have made some progress.

My question is if any other girls who wear hearing aids have encountered any issues with their hearing aids, and if so, have you found solutions?

Peggy Sue, I do wear hearing aids most all the time except when I'm working, no need to make the power tools any louder than they are. I have long hair that's below my shoulders and yes there are times when I notice at times my hair against the aids but it's not that often and I'd rather hear the person talking to me, than not wear them because of that. It's like when it's windy, it doesn't last that long but at the time it's super annoying. So I guess my solution has been to just deal with it, again I like hearing the people around me, more than the discomfort.

I had surgery on my right ear some ten years ago and as result lost about 50% of my hearing in that ear. Aid from that time on.

The left one is just "suffering from old age" and gradual decline. So I have one in that ear too. I dont get out in public enough times PA for it to be a problem when I'm in Caty mode and confronted by soft female voices.

I feel for anyone who struggles with hearing related issues.  I have tinnitus in both ears...more so with my right hear.  Doesn't bother me too much during the day, but when I'm laying in bed trying to fall asleep, its very loud.

@jessicacd289

I also have tinnitus.

When I got my hearing aids, my audiologist programmed in a feature where I can turn white noise on or off.  It is not perfect, but it does help some with masking the tinnitus.  During my periodic check up visits with her, she adjusts the level of white noise to suit my needs.
