@courtneynwi

Hi Courtney.
I may be spending Christmas home alone. I’m rostered on to work through Christmas so my wife is off to Bali with friends but 3 weeks ago work decided they will be closing for 2 weeks and I don’t have time to renew my passport. Have family not to far away if I want company so it will be by choice if a stay alone.
I’m sure Santa will put some extra presents under the tree for Cassie. I’ve been a good girl all year. Honest

have a great Christmas

💋

@courtneynwi The Christmas season is always very busy for me.  Today is my granddaughters birthday, 5 days later is her sister's birthday, 2 days later is my son's birthday then 6 more days till Christmas.

Being a Mailman, this is the busy season and I'm sorry, I'm glad we have no snow and ice.

Myself ,since I am out to everyone I am looking through my dresses to pick out one to wear at Christmas eve mass.   It is such a relief to just be out as Cassie everywhere I go.

On our walk home from a short shopping trip, tonight, my wife asked if I was going to dress up when we go to Christmas dinner at our daughter's place. That's an unusual question considering how much I have asked for her to not tell her about me dressing.

This isn't over yet. 🤔

@harriette  What an opportunity. Go for it! Best to drop a hint to the daughter though, especially if there will be others there.

Best, Marlene.

Almost ready, leaving this Friday for Dallas to attend a Christmas party with about 25 or 30 other girls, so deciding what to take, I always way over pack.. Lol.  Have my present for the gift exchange, and my Christmassy outfit picked out.

@emilysouthern Sounds like fun…enjoy! How does one find out about gatherings or parties with the girls? Would be nice to meet the Ladies I talk to on here and meet new friends as well.

@courtneynwi Hi Courtney

I agree, it's nice to get together with other girls from time to time and enjoy dinners, drinks, and fun conversation.  In my past 14 months since my big debut going out in the wild, I have met many great girls, some have become close treasured friends.

In my case, some of the groups of ladies I have found, have monthly or more frequent events.  The three groups I have visited are over 200 miles from me, (I live in a small town in NW Arkansas) but I enjoy the drive & doing it en femme.  All part of the fun..  Some use Meetup.com to post their events and pictures of past gatherings.  Others have a set monthly schedule, the Oklahoma girls get together every 2nd Saturday of each month and the Tulsa group, every 3rd Thursday.  The Heartland group of girls have their own website with event news.  They have a great, huge 4 day event every spring and fall in Oklahoma City.  The host hotel just loves us all..  (Hmm, maybe it's the money we spend, Lol)

Hi Courtney,

Yes. I love this time of year. My Mom (RIP) loved Christmas more than any other holiday. I miss her. However, my Daddy lives with me out in the country, and I am really getting into the Christmas spirit this year. Scarlett sure helped me with her Christmas photo. There hasn't been much snow in Minnesota where I live, but there were a few inches of it (finally) last night, just not quite enough for a Christmassy background to take photos! I'll be spending Christmas with my Daddy and maybe my best friend wearing my nice Christmas dress.

@revel no snow here in NW Indiana yet either which is odd…hopefully some for Christmas at least…I decorated the house outside….my favorite thing to do…and the lights always look so pretty with a bit of snow on them.

Have a great Christmas!

@courtneynwi Hi Courtney,

Agreed. The lack of snow is unusual at this time of year. I think the most popular Christmas song this year will be: "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby, which many of us can relate to. Haha. Nice. I love Christmas lights. Last night, my Dad, friend and I watched the Great Christmas Light Fight on TV. Did you watch it too? I love watching this spectacular show. 🎄

You too, sister. ⛄

I'm definitely going to be running around this year.   The holidays are wonderful but there is some sense of relief when they are over and things get back to normal.   Also, the after holiday sales are great!

The holidays are fast approaching but the weather has not been that cold.  We had a couple of days above 50 degrees last week.  Was 24 this morning when I drove to work.  Only a light dusting of snow so far that was melted by noon.

Hosting a lot of family this year so I'll be busy with the wife in the kitchen preparing food.  Still have some shopping to do.  Dental appointments...work....etc..its going to be busy up until the 25th.  After that it will be quiet.  Can't wait!

Hello Courtney,             Hopefully this Christmas I will be spending the 2 days with my lovely CD friend Angela, she should be staying with me for the week. Will be going out to see my other friends (non CD) just after Christmas on day trips as well.    love   Helenmarie

My holidays (Hannukah) are over in less than 2 days. Hannukah is not a major holiday. So I really don't have anything to plan for the holidays.

This has also been a strange year. My brother's yahrzeit (see next paragraph) was on Thanksgiving eve/Thanksgiving day.

(Yahrzeit is a German/Yiddish word, literally meaning year time, or aniversary. It is usually used in the context of the aniversary of someone passing on the Hebrew calendar.)

As far as New Year's Eve, I can't see going out and spending so much money just to see an odometer roll over. I have two adult children who live at home. One is planning to go over to see some friends over that week and won't be home. The other works retail and will likely be working on January 1, so won't be staying up (not that they'd likely stay up anyway). And New Year's Eve/New Year's Day happens to be my Mom's yahrzeit, so it will be somewhat bittersweet anyway.

Fortunately, because the way the calendars line up, this situation will not happen again.
