I’ve been trying to find a free app that will help me find my best colors for makeup.  I don’t really want to use the “buy and try” method.

Any help is appreciated

Tootles,

Jeri

@jeried I have used youcam live makeup for a long time https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cyberlink.youcammakeup  .. Its a great app.  and free for most stuff. I eventually got the paid version which allows more but there is plenty there for free.  it greatly helped me to improve my skills as well. by adding your own makeup then using the app to clean it up if need be. It was with this that I found River and said Oh there you are!! and then proceeded to try to copy what I  saw . best part is its live and like looking in a mirror and you can project it to a tv .  adding a  ring light selfi phone holder and you can do quite alot.  only caveot I found is that I often get depressed when I turn off the features and see reality vs fantasy. but because of this app I have also learned to more often nail it. and so If i did a bad job just leave on the features that night. its a great confidence booster and great fun.  so many looks options styles and you can create a look then buy the actual makeup that was used. but its very addictive.  also can make excellent videos . the more options you use the harder it is for the app to keep up in a live video but it does amazingly well.  I then use a secure app folder so if someone ever gets into my phone they most likely will not find it nor be able to see anything without a seperate password. this solved the problem of being afraid to save images and videos to my phone.. hope this helps Cheers RC

@river I’ll try it out. The only pics I have right now of my face are with my beard 😂👍

Hi Jeri,

Try https://www.maybelline.com/. It has a virtual beauty studio where you can upload a picture, and it will make suggestions. Good luck

I'd note there's no perfect solution, but the people working the makeup counters are going to be your best bet. They'll do better by actually testing, but I understand not everyone's at that point. Still they'll likely be pretty accurate just by looking.

And honestly, I'd rather one makeup salesperson know than upload my photo to the Maybelline (or whomever) to go who knows where. My 2¢
