I have followed trans girls for many years online. The first ones I saw were actually in the r=early 90's if you can believe it. But nothing til later when MySpace and later FaceBook becomes popular. There were some other lesser known platforms, like community spaces on AOL.

I wonder about some of the girls I saw then and have lost track of. One in particular was identified as Classy Kelli, or Klassy Kelli. She lived I think in California and drove a truck for a living. She was married and she said her wife did not like the dressing so she kept it hidden. But somehow she had stories and pictures from trips she took.

She liked to ride jeeps in the desert hills. It's a famous place, Moab I think. She also rode a motorcycle. That is what led to her tragic death in an accident.

I loved following her. She separated from her wife at one point, and then the accident happened. I don't think I knew at the time. It took me a while to find out. But then her online presence disappeared. I always imagined her wife got access to the online stuff and scrubbed it all.

If you remember her and have more to the story or just want to say you miss her, make a comment.

Are there other historic girls who made an impression on you?

Roberta Close (Brazil, 1964) who in the eighties and nineties was a sex symbol in Brazil and was said to be one of the most beautiful women in her country, which made her a victim of transphobia. She was a model and actress.

In 1984 she appeared in a video clip for the song "Take a Close Up on Her" by Erasmo Carlos, where she played a crossdresser who attracted the eyes of men as she strutted through the streets of Rio de Janeiro during the famous Carnival.

Later that year she became the first transgender model to pose for Playboy magazine and set a sales record. She appeared in several famous magazines and wrote her memoir "Nice to meet you, Roberta Close" in 1997.

Finally in the previous decade in Rio de Janeiro she was issued a new birth certificate for her recognizing her as born a girl with the name Roberta Gambine Moreira.
She lives with her husband in Switzerland.
