Well, I have finally got settled back in after my "little" jaunt around the country. We drove around 2,500 miles all in & it feels like we must have walked about the same. It was lovely to catch up with friends & family but I'm glad to be back home now.

It has been some time since I last did any real in person shopping so I took full advantage of the opportunity. I was rather surprised at where I ended up buying from though. Many of you have sworn by charity shops as the place to get clothes but I found them to be more expensive (mostly) than regular outlets! Admittedly I did hit the sale rails hard but I didn't spend more than about £15 on any one item so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself there. So what did I get then?. 6 new dresses, mostly bodycon/ tube type (my favourite) 2 brown, 1 pink, a nice blue summery one , one black with lacy sides & a red & black swing dress. The pink one ended up being a surprise as once I tried it on it turned out to be positively pornographic! I knew it was a bit sheer when I bought it but once it had stretched out it was considerably more see through than I had expected. I can't imagine anyone would wear that out, but then as I don't go out dressed anyway that's no problem. And Mrs B likes it too so not a problem really.

On top of that I also got 4 skirts, one green shorty tennis type, a longer black pleated one, 1 plain mid calf red & a knee length red / black flared. Oh & 6 new tops & plenty of lingerie as well. Mrs B went a bit mad on new jewellery for both of us as well with many new ear rings & necklaces. The one big (ish) buy was a better quality real hair wig, shoulder length platinum blonde from a place called Modaps Wigs in Leamington Spa. The shop was run by a very genial Jamaican guy called Shootie (Scootie maybe, I didn't quite catch it) with an impressive array of gold teeth. He had no problem with me trying on a variety of different ones & gave me a good discount on the one I chose too. I am still happy with my cheaper ones from Annabelles wigs but I thought £80 for a quality one was good value & it is definitely a step up. They have a web site if you want to check them out.

As we were passing by it anyway I decided to call into Biscester Outlet Village, just to have a look. If you don't know it, it is almost a small town full of designer shops, Versace, Channel etc type of places. Once I had picked my chin up off the floor we left very quickly. The first place I went into had a fairly plain white cotton dress on the "sale" rail for £795! knocked down from £1200. Bargain, I think not. I couldn't believe how many places had queues outside the shop just to get past the concierge & buy a grossly overpriced bag. How the other half live eh?

The only real disappointment was that I had intended to go to Translife in Bognor Regis to see their range of forms in person. Buying online is one thing but it has never quite delivered & being able to see & feel what you are getting is always going to be better than guessing from a picture. Sadly they were out of stock of everything at the time so it never happened.

The one thing I wondered about before we left was how I would get on with being away from "Sasha time" for so long. Not something I have done for ages. Surprisingly I wasn't at all bothered about being in guy mode for the trip. Maybe the shopping helped or perhaps I was just too busy to think about it. Since I've been home it's been Sasha all the way though & I am definitely happier with it so maybe I'm a bit more "non binary" (I believe that's the current parlance for it) than I had previously thought.

Anyway, I think I have probably waffled on enough for now though & I'm getting peckish so, time for lunch. Can't wait to catch up with the gossip so keep those stories coming ladies.

X

Sasha

Welcome back Sasha 🙂

I'm intrigued by the porno-pink see-through dress. I think you need to post a pic of you modelling it 😜

It's always nice getting back to girl mode after spending time as your ostensibly male 'other side'. I've got our three week holiday coming up in just over a week's time and I'll have to be a bloke all the time. It's such a relief to get back home, get rid of a month's-worth of body hair and get into some nice girly clothes.

@caroline2k Goodness me, nobody needs to see that! trust me...... apart from Mrs B & she has seen it all before anyway so she doesn't count on that one. You are right on the clean up though, straight into the shower with a razor did the trick, it was a relief. 3 weeks sounds like a nice holiday, I hope it's somewhere better than the UK weather wise though, that was a bit rubbish.

Might I recommend a bit of light retail therapy to get you through the hardships of "othersidedness" while you are away. Worked for me, and I've also got the fun of a whole new wardrobe to try out!

I do suspect that there will be as much retail therapy as possible going on, although there aren't many suitable retail outlets in the part of France we'll be. Hopefully we'll get to Bordeaux for a few days where there are lots of lingerie shopping opportunities to be had 🙂

To be honest though, it'll be mostly a chance to chill for three weeks; nice food, nice wine and hopefully nice weather.

Hi, Sasha, glad you had a great shopping trip....er, holiday 😊.

Yeah, charity shops are good places to find bargains but find is the operative word. It depends entirely on what's been donated most recently, and, to an extent, on where the shop is. I think, as an average, I'll get one good buy from roughly twelve visits. Don't ask me how I've calculated that cos I didn't, it just feels that way.

Funny, I was just on the phone to Translife earlier today as I ordered a pair of shoes a couple of weeks ago and, according to my account page, it's still "processing". They're expecting a delivery soon so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'm interested in your wig shop, I'll check out their website, thanks for that. I got one from amazon but, try as I might, I can't seem to get it styled right 🙄. I've also been gifted some from a dear friend and they're better but you know how it is, the wig has to be just right in order to compensate for the face! Now I read that, best I clarify that I'm talking about my face, not yours 😂😂.

Again, glad you enjoyed your break and are once again able to give Sasha her freedom!

@alexina Hi Allie, thanks, it's good to be back in the groove. I think Translife have kind of downsized somewhat after they moved out of Brighton, it seems like they are just working out of their house now rather than a shop. Hopefully they will get going soon.

Trying wigs on is definitely the way to go, I thought some of the others would suit me better but it seems blondes really do have more fun. I would never have called that as my natural colour has always been darker, at least it was when I actually had hair 🤣 but it seems things have changed!

At least my bank balance is glad it's all over for now LOL

Glad you had a good holiday Sasha 🙂  Shopping is addictive, isn't it!  I'm a sucker for something on a sale rail, especially if I already liked it at full price.  Even online can be good, I've not long received two dresses and a pair of nude block-heel sandals from Long Tall Sally for just £10 each, plus delivery.

Charity shops have also produced some great finds for me, for very little money per piece, although it soon all adds up 😳   I agree with Allie, the 'where' is as important as the 'what'.  In an affluent area, the charity shops are full of really nice things, but they know it and they're pricey!

I know what you mean about Bicester Outlet Village.  The town itself is nothing special, just a small market town that's now being surrounded by too much new development just like everywhere else these days.  My son used to live in one of the nearby villages, and whenever I'd take him into town for lunch there would be coachloads of Japanese and Chinese tourists wandering around clutching armfuls of brand-name bags, who'd obviously 'done' the Outlet Village.  Everyone local I ever spoke to said not to bother though, for exactly the same reasons as you.

Anyway, hope you have lots of fun wearing all your new purchases!

Hugs,
Fiona xxx

I just got an email, shoes have been sent😊. Though why I imagine anyone else would be interested, I have no idea. But, I mentioned it earlier and thought I'd provide this timely update.

@finallyfiona Addictive indeed, it get's very expensive very quickly! luckily for me it's a rare occurrence, not having much in the way of shops other than tesco's. Biscester was something of a shock all round though. I used to work in Banbury in the 80's & had reason to go there frequently. Back then it was a lovely little village with pretty much one main street & a train station. I couldn't believe how much had changed. I had never thought of L.T Sally though, I will check them out (oh gawd, here we go again) 😆

Hi Sasha, Sounds like a wonderful holiday .... err, shopping trip. Of all addictions, this is one that I can fully support and engage in 😀 . I have been able to dress most days for the last year or so; I am yet to find out if I will get withdrawal symptoms should I have to remain in male mode for a few weeks.

I have to pass Bicester Village every time we go to visit our son, and my wife often asks if we can stop there. Mostly I manage to talk her out of it ... it is a mind numbing experience in which you shuffle along dodging all the visitors who have been disgorged from coaches that come directly from Heathrow. There are only 2 shops there that I have any time for: Le Creuset, where I have been able to get a couple of replacement pans at about half price, and Villeroy & Boch where we got a few pieces of extra china. But forget all the stupidly expensive clothes and accessories shops.

@fembecky It most definitely was a great shopping trip...err, holiday. The Biscester visit was just going in to see what it was all about really. I knew Biscester back in the day when it actually was a village, & a very nice one too, I nearly moved there at one time but I hadn't seen it for 30 years or so. However it is now something of a horror story so I dodged a bullet there. I thought something was up when the car park was full of Bently's. Made my little Kia feel quite out of place. 🤣

That pink sheer dress sounds intreging. Just because it is sheer, does make it pornographic, but is does sound erotic and with the right lingerie I think it could be quite "the Look". It certainly sounds fun.

@jjandme Yeah, I did pair it with my new pink & orange lacy lingerie set, it is definitely "a look" 🤗 It brought a smile to Mrs B's face & that's a win in my book.
