I just put up a picture of my shoe rack on my CDH album ( https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/members/kt1819/public-photos/)   and Joan quickly counted 38 pairs, and it's at least 2 spots left.
This does of course not include any of my boots which I also need to somehow organise.

I did show the picture to my daughter and she said that unlike many other collections she seen this have all been used on a regular base and that's true, every pair there has been used several times.

Now to the question, how many us too many? I would say that it does exist a limit but don't know where that would be,

My thought is you can never have too much.  Nice collection BTW !

On the other hand, if you have a spouse is keeping an eye on your collection, you may want to watch out how much you are adding to your collection.

My women's one piece swimsuit and pencil skirt wardrobe is huge.  I should really count how many one day, but last count a few years back was at least 115.  At first my wife was ok with me buying stuff for Wendy, but now she wants me to stop as she feels I've spent alot of money on clothing.

It is a fine balance.

As Mae West said, too much of a good thing is wonderful.

I'm lucky to have considerable storage space. But shoes and boots take up much of it. Since I keep things out of sight I store shoes in their boxes. But boots, with trees, stand up in closets. Does anybody know a better solution?

Well, I have to disagree there, you can have to much, I mean if you had 1 million par of shoes would you still not have enough?
I guess the question is more when is to much and that is something that varies with each person.

My wife haven't complained yet but that may soon happen. By putting them all in one place like this I feel it's easier to resist buying more, I just need to think about what I have and why this pair will be better.
I also expect that once full I have to get rid of some pair before I can buy another pair.

I'm almost a year into this lifestyle and I have six or seven pairs.  I want more.  To answer your question when you run out of room, or if your partner starts complaining.  Maybe that's the point where enough is enough.

I do LOVE shoes...I have 33 pairs of shoes from sneakers, flats, sandals, boots and heels. I do rotate them according to seasons. With the exception of a couple pairs of men's trail runners I haven't worn men's shoes in the last 2 years.

Wardrobe questions are always interesting. For this one, I would say "too much" is when you have run out of storage space or when you have shoes to match all of your outfits.

Since living as Jennifer for over 26 years I can honestly answer there is no such thing as too many pair of shoes. I have approximately 60 pairs of shoes, boots and sandals and I am always looking for more. So many different styles and colors.
