Hi girls 🦋 To any of you on HRT, can you tell me a bit about it? I have spoken to local friends that have started this, briefly discussed with my wife, more discussion needed. 🎀 Just wanted to reach out here for further advice. 🌼💖  It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I hope I can begin this within the next year.. I’m still in the investigation stages..

Hi Effie I am in the same boat You may get better responses from the woman at the TGH site. Just take your time and read and ask questions like you are doing; What really gave me pause was a post from someone here on a similar subject. I remember reading if you are prepared to wear your forms to to every family function, go to work, shopping and be out and about 24/7 for a whole year. Then you should be ready for HRT. That kinda spooked me. My therapist  and I talked about it helping my dysphoria at the time. There is a whole lot more to it when you decide to change your body chemistry. Emotionally it may sound great but just be careful it changes not only your body but your brain chemistry also.Remember the turtle won the race. He did it by going slowly and making every step count.

Luv Stephanie

Great advice!

and slow is exactly the approach I am currently taking.

I won’t be starting HRT until this  fall (at the earliest) and the waiting since February has been……challenging, but has also given me plenty of time to contemplate the gravity of that decision. I can totally understand why this particular time period apparently contributes to so much depression (and it’s all to horrible outcomes) for the trans community.

🌸🎀 I appreciate that Stephanie! I’m definitely taking it slow.. and trying to make sure i consider every aspect.. 🦋🌼 For some reason none of that you mentioned spooks me..it inspires me.. I still have family to come out to.. 🍭🎀 but I think that will be a continuation of this whole big, long, slow but beautiful process. 🌺🌸

thank you! 🦄

🎀 Rei, it’s difficult, I suffer with the gender dysphoria issues that lead to depression. Thank you for your response!

My pleasure and try to find some small measure of comfort knowing that you aren’t alone.

All the best, Rei

HI Effie been on it for about 6 months now at the point now where noticing small changes fat moving around breasts forming to b cup now skin noticeable smoother. of course before starting it have laser surgery hair removal done. so smooth all over.  according to my DR at the point of no return to male self for many things. Suggest talk to a DR and they really can talk to you more on it. Know may do something more for you and less for someone else on it. Every person different. Good luck on this journey if choose to do it. Myself made mind up awhile back going to see it through the end.  and transition to a woman by the new year.
