I know a lot of the girls on here are from Florida and I hope you are all safe and sound. I live not far from the Gulf coast and have been through several hurricanes but never a CAT 4! I pray you are all safe. I just can’t imagine the devastation.
Great post Nicki! Praying as well from VA! Stay both safe and dry!
We were in the path but it just missed us. Usually it’s never as bad as the media is making it out to be. Sunny and beautiful as I write this.😊
Prayers to those that were in the path of the storm. Watching the news and the devastation that took place is disheartening. The flooding is a tragedy. To see homes underwater to the roof is heartbreaking. It's hard to believe how far inland this storm went. It seems all these events are getting worse as time goes on.

Judging by the dire reports in the news media, I got off lightly. I spent all day hunkered down in the house, only to have a few short rain showers during the afternoon. Not even a power cut to spoil the day en femme. I took a letter to my mail box this morning and picked up a two foot long twig off the driveway. I am not taking away from the seriousness of those who have lost everything, even lives lost, but I dodged a bullet yesterday.
Hi Girls,
on the WestCentral coast of Florida, the wind and storm surge were the bad parts. Rain was not an issue.
Down here in SWFL we were lucky. Now I see we got another one forming. Stay safe girlfriends.
Yes, the media likes to sensationalize things, but for the 40+ lives lost the news reports were not over blown. I am fine if they over warn people if it keeps them alive.
We get the same sensational media coverage about wildfires, but if peoole take ecacuation warnings serious because of them, fine...lives are more important then media bashing. Having lost a home to wildfires I know of what I speak.
Stay safe out there, and error on the side of caution. Don't be that person the news talks about who thought they knew better and now a family is planning a funeral.
