Yesterday was my 39th day working at my new job. I was upstairs counting down my Till before I started work and the store manager call me and said I have a surprise for you and then walked into where I was counting my Till. She walked in with a sheet of paper with some writing on it and said. I have some good news and some bad news for you. So I said give me the bad news first. Then she said there is no bad news. Then I asked her so what is the good new and except for two occasions my till has been within pennies at the end of my shift. She said "You just got a raise in pay". I have only been there for 39 days and I get a raise in pay. This was based on my friendliness with the customers and my willingness to learn my job and be willing to learn. There were other reasons but those are the two that I remember.
I spoke with the Senior floor manager later and he told me that as far as he knows no one has ever gotten a pay raise while within their 90 day probation period. I guess my Job is secure.

Grace, yes in many ways my Christmas will be much better but I am still searching for that female companionship to share it with.
