Okay, so I had one of those emails that reads 'because you bought that you might like this' and I looked.
It was a gorgeous dress, in my size, and one that I am unlikely to ever wear out to an occasion. But it was gorgeous. AND it was on sale. And I just had to have it! So I bought it.
All well and good. Except I now need to find shoes and accessories to match. It's a light blue dress. I've got nothing else light blue. Nothing. Nada. I have never even imagined light blue items in my wardrobe before. So, yes, the dress was on sale but anything I may have saved is now going to have to go on those shoes and accessories.
But...it is a lovely dress. 1950s style and with a little pink trim along with some romantic Parisian scenes around the hem.
The stresses of impulse shopping. I should never read my emails...
Jen,
Oh yes, those clever advertisers and marketers know their craft well.... But in the end, it sounds like an absolutely lovely score! Turn the task of finding the perfect pairings into another reason to have fun searching and shopping (now that’s not difficult for any of us girls is it - LOL!).
In the meantime, maybe some you have some nude/neutral shoes in the closet that would work ok? Sounds like it is also the perfect reason to consider and experiment with some makeup and nail colours that maybe you haven’t done before? Now that purchase is looking better and better, eh?
Love it Jen!

Hi Jen I googled spring outfits idea's one morning that was a big mistake. I spent a hour looking at spring dresses, for next two weeks I was bombarded with pop ups with spring dress sales. My wife was using my desk top and saw ads and said how did you know I was looking for a new dress with her cute smile. There are no such thing as secrets anymore. That could be a good thing for some and a disaster for others.

Jen....
perfect example.....buy ONE thing from Amazon....and then they have you!!!...
" Death by E-mail"
and do I buy from recommendation e-mails they send me???
.....you bet I do.
If it's not among their suggestions, I usually get an idea from the list of yet another item......I cannot live without!!!!!
yes please, grace xx
Lol, my biggest problem is you girls?
Each time someone mentions a new store, or cute outfit, or darling shoes, I have to google that store, or outfit, an I am lost for hours, no wonder my closets overflow? And of course, I just have to sign up or the subscription emails.
Lol, Love you girls
Hugs, Regi👸💕
Dear Grace,
When an impulse shopper is also a compulsive shopper, the result can hit you where it hurts: in your purse. And if you think Amazon is bad about email suggestions, stay away from Ebay. I bought some press-on nails, and browsed for a '20s outfit; now, I get 4-5 offers in my Inbox every day since...even for items unrelated to my search.
Hugs,
Bettylou
Oh Bettylou, isn't it annoying....they do send you crazy suggestions every now and then.....like you buy a fifties dress and a matching clutch.....so.... how about a matching....SNOW SHOVEL!!!!.....Haha xx
