I just thought I would google myself to see what came up. Somehow my name appears to be linked with a post on CDH called "Harrisburg" about the keystone conference & transgender friendly places. I can't actually open anything to see more but I've never set foot in Harrisburg & have nothing to do with the post, most unusual? There are also links on google to a pig farm in Wales & one to pornhub for Sasha Bennett....... That is DEFINITELY not me 🤣

@sashabennett I've googled myself a couple of times. Mostly photos come up which are mostly me.

@sashabennett you are really lucky.  Most of my references are obituaries! I may be knocking on in years, but really?

@joanarbour True, I didn't get that at least, I just stay away from them, as I do from most pigs if I'm honest 😆

@sashabennett

I googled my name and the only thing it returned was a message saying Unauthorised Access. Don't know what that's all about, oh wait, there's a loud knocking on the front door...

@sashabennett This is good info Sasha. It’s one of the reasons I don’t want any public photos of me out there yet. Before joining CDH you could search “Crossdresser photos”and bang - all you ladies would pop up. Which I suppose is the point since I ended up joining.👩‍🦳. I realize you can screen shot anything and throw it out there but I trust my fellow sisters not to do that😊

@gracepal I don't mind photo's getting out, it's doubtful that anyone I know would be looking for that sort of thing & if they were, well, why are you hunting for that? would be my question. TBH I doubt if anyone would even recognise me anyway.

I think it's safe to assume you won't be screen shotted (is that even a word) We do tend to close ranks when it comes to that sort of thing. Safe places are worth their weight in gold these days so no one from here is going to abuse that.

@sashabennett Well, I just now tried searching for myself and definitely was easily successful. A couple of forum topic comments popped right up. At the top of Google. Then I clicked on my profile pic on my comment and my bio came up. Now I realize why many girls on here have no profile photos and very little bio info. If you want to stay stealthy that’s the way to go.

Unlike you I don’t want my photos all over the place. Like you, I don’t think anyone would recognize me. That being said, I will be very cognizant of my backgrounds going forward.

I do think CDH provides a nice safe space for us girls but it’s not airtight. Which I realize is impossible with anything online. But I knew that going in.

In the meantime I will always default to my general viewpoint of most everything that I do in life -which is: “Nobody cares.” And that’s a good thing😊

@gracepal You are right, in general no one is bothered unless you make yourself a target. Then they all come out of the woodwork. Just being on google is the norm these days. Having said that I also googled guy me, oddly nothing came up! Make of that what you will.

@sarahmichellelustre Perhaps it has something to do with Sarah Michelle Geller? It is a different name I know but there is a similarity there so the algorithm picks up 2/3 of the name & puts 2 & 9 together, as they do & comes to the wrong conclusion. I wouldn't worry too much, it's not like your face is on any of your pictures so you won't get outed there.

@sashabennett yes I think that is it. I am happy if kept divisible from my male identity anyway.

OK, so I searched for my name and found there are hundreds of me ... many appear to be really interesting people, and a few of me are already dead (apparently), but none of them appear to be the real me.

However ... if I add the word crossdresser to the search it is a different matter 😎 .

@fembecky That does seem to be the kicker, I suppose that narrows the search down & there probably aren't too many CD's with that name. I would add that all of us here would fit into the "interesting" category almost by definition. Anything out of the norm is interesting & I always have & will be different & will revel in it. While I was at it I also searched male me & got nothing, obviously male me isn't interesting 😆

@sashabennett Same here Sasha. We all have choices to make and being interesting is far better to me than being boring. It keeps me interested 🥰

@sashabennett

Inspired by your search I also tried "male me" and found there were zillions of me (I'm a bit surprised because my surname is not overly common). It appears I am a company founder, a director of another company, head of an IT department, a chef, a priest, etc.

Google comes up with a lot of pictures of "me" but I don't recognise any of them. Interestingly the pictures of "male me" included a couple of ladies and a beautiful bride in white 🤔 . Do they know something I don't?

Sadly I didn't spot any entries for the real male me, so I will have to work on my IQ (Interestingness Quota) to ensure I get included in the future 🤣 .

@fembecky "Mr me" has a very unusual name but as I don't really do social media & such like I'm not surprised I didn't turn up anywhere. Literally no results to show! I kind of like that though, it means I can watch what's going on without drawing undue attention.

Do they know something you don't? or do they know something you wish they didn't? there's the question 🤔 😊 I've got a few outfits now but never considered a bridal dress. Nice idea but not very practical.

@sashabennett Sasha, its fun doing these “vanity searches” (as they are called).  The first time I did it as Christine, I was shocked to find any content at all, but my photos from CDH came up.  Now I dont mind so much that there is Christine content on the web.

Hugs Christine

@erinb Thank you. I did know that which is why I was investigating how far it had got. I still can't figure how I got linked to a completely different country though.

Nothing comes up for me if I just put in Rebecca or Becca Baxter but if I add 'cross-dresser' to my name, I'm all over the place.

@rebeccabaxter That’s what I’m talking about right there Becca😊. And to address Erin’s comment - “All you have to do is say why are you looking at crossdressers?” - I can already hear one of my smart-ass friends say: “I was searching CrossFit and this “girl” popped up who looks just like you!” Then I’d have to go with “You think that’s me, well it takes one to know one…” Then the whole thing escalates and harsh things are said. Then we jump ugly. Then lawyers get involved. And I really don’t give a rip what people think. I just want to keep it my business right now. I should be able to do that. But I probably can’t. I do notice though, that many girls on here post no pics and I’m thinking it’s for some of those same reasons.

@gracepal Yes, you are probably right, although personally, if someone has a problem with finding me on line cross-dressed then so be it. I can understand how some people would be mortified if that happened to them though; it could be a career and /or marriage-ending thing to happen.
