alot of you think you will never get caught if you stay in your car and just drive around. the answer to that is no. yes you might be safe in no one can get to you, but you are also not safe from being outed. if you have a car that sticks out or one easily spotted by friends or family and one of them sees a lady driving it that they don't know or have never seen before. what if your wife or girlfriend friend see your car with this strange person driving it? they are going to ask are you cheating? and you also have your name on your car for everyone to see. i call it a license plate. anyone can find out who owns the car if they run your plate numbers. so it is safer not to be outed when your away from your car. i got caught once by my license plate. was at the beach. parked in the parking lot and walked about a mile down the beach. went back by the river next to the beach. (back side of the dunes) people walk  and canoe there. not any people around but one guy was following me and checking me out. so i decided to flash him a little ass. the next day i got a call saying they saw me at the beach and what i did. i'm thinking how the f*** they get my number. they had cameras at the beach and at the parking lot. they seen me get out of my truck and ran the plate numbers and got my phone number probably through dmv paper work or something. remember your on camera just about everywhere.

I'd guess there's a chance of being caught just about everywhere, in just about every circumstance one can name. The guy who caked you was a real creeper though. That's some A level stalking there, the kind of thing I'd probably make a clear record of somewhere safe. Just in case. I'd find it really awkward to be caught by someone I know, and I'm sort of careful for that not to happen, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Creepy strangers? Well I guess we all need to try to protect ourselves from them, but that can be a bit harder. They're everywhere, or at least could be. "Is it that security guy at the mall? What about the weird dude at the gas station? Has that truck been following me?" Honestly you can make yourself nuts thinking out a solution to every possible scenario, but a few generic plans are good. Someone following you? Go to the police precinct. They'll probably give up and go away. Creepy calls? Document them, and if repeated, record them and report them. Stalking is illegal. If being followed on foot, stay in or go to crowded areas, and don't give them extra reasons to keep following.

If you are out in public-You Are Out In Public regardless of where and what you are in.

Are you safe/Is there a risk? I guess sort of  but that depends on your own concerns.

Depending on where you live and if you're worried about identity you are more likely to receive one of those Red Light camera pics in the mail with your pic so if you don't want your SO to know you better be careful.

I am not sure and doubt just anyone can run a license plate # and get a name so I am not concerned at all regarding this. If you are someone who is concerned about something like this you might at least want an inconspicuous vehicle to drive.

IMO I can't see why anyone would want to or feel they need to know my male identity but there are all sorts out there.

My main driver is a conspicuous truck with a personalized plate FYI. My car which Sandy does drive is a Serious Stand out car but that's all on it.

One day I get home and my wife left a 3x5 note card with message on the counter for me-she is so organized...Just notes the Highlights for me...

Rob called, LM

Something about a boat-can you call him

Truck...

Women...

driving...

Never went beyond that from her. Rob never said anything about women driving my truck.

Sandy

I don't know about other states or countries, it is ILLEGAL in Texas for a private citizen to obtain by any means another citizens personal information through their license plate number.  Any person who does this, or aids anyone doing this, are subject to invasion of privacy and anti-stalking laws.  The courts, law enforcement agencies, and entities licensed by the state to do so, such as traffic cam companies, may legally collect that information but are tightly restricted in its use and desimination.   Media is also restricted in this subject, which is why license plates are pixelated out on police shows like 'Cops' and like programs.

I drive a fairly non-descript car with a plate that's just on the edge of vanity (military vet). And a college alum sticker in the back window corner.  Nothing to see here, folks.  I've only been out twice dressed and both times, although I drove for some distance, I was very nervous the whole time.  Not that someone would 'see' me. There's so much traffic everywhere with enough drivers doing strange things that I know that in reality I'm just another driver out there.

What I do is try my best to follow all the laws, Stop signs, lights, lane changes, speed.  I try to learn rather quickly wherever I'm living, where the police traps are.  the straight-aways following curves where drivers just naturally speed up, the blind curves where the cop sits looking to make his quota. That's what worries me the most.  Because why would some guy put on a disguise and go driving around at night....except to do something suspiciously criminal.

I suppose if I did it often enough, I'd lose much of my insecurities, but then, I'd probably relax and pump up my speed to the usual +5 over the limit, change lanes too abruptly, try to run that yellow changing to red light, all things I see people do each and every day even in the most 'love the police' towns, and hardly ever get caught, and then I would.

So, I'm pretty much done with that.

Well yes I have thought of this as my car does stand out so what I’ve been doing is driving my wife’s car.  Lol. She knows all about Ashley so no biggie there and her car is new to her so not a lot of people know it anyway.
In saying this I have been out in my car many times dressed as well but it’s never bothered me. Maybe I’m at the point where I really don’t mind if I’m outed.

Thanks

Ashley❤️

Hi Rachel, well I'm one of those who had a car that really sticks out.  I really enjoyed driving my silver Corvette while dressed en femme.  The feel of the gas pedal under my heels was exhilarating.  But there were only three silver Corvettes in my city and everyone knew my car.  So I finally sold it last summer after eight years of driving fun. I now drive a very common Toyota SUV.  Like others, I drive much more carefully when I'm dressed en femme.  But as I'm getting older, I'm starting to worry less about getting stopped.  It wouldn't be the end of the world, but rather, it could end up being humorous.  Just be confident and charismatic. Stay safe, stay healthy, Hugs, Krista.

I was going to go enfemme one day, and after dressing, nails and makeup, I decided to take it all off and go drab... apart from some studs and lipstick.

My car broke down. (We live in a rural area, 30km from town.) A neighbour's friend stopped to help. We had to get a car trailer and tow it to the mechanic.

Sometimes you gotta go with your instincts..

Just be prepared to have a flat tire, need a tow or a jump, or get stopped by the police for rolling through a stop sign. I once had to change a tire by a very busy highway and lived to tell about it!

If you are concerned about the police, you probably shouldn't be. In most places, the police will treat you with respect.  Just don't pretend you are someone you're not.

Last August I got into a car accident en femme when someone made a turn in front of me as I was traveling down the road.  Fortunately I only had some minor cuts and bruises from the exploding airbag.  The car was totaled. The police were called, and I handed all my paperwork (all with my male name) over to the police officer (a woman) for her report.  An ambulance was called, and I was checked out to be sure I was OK.  I had to give them my name; not a word, a look, or a comment.  When I got out the police woman gave my paperwork back to me, again no comment.  Of course the police report had my male name.  I'll bet the other driver was surprised when he got the report that showed the other driver was male.

As far as being recognized, I doubt I can hide forever.  I'm out too much and close to home.  So it may be my car, or just someone seeing me.  While I tell almost no one about my femme side, I'm not ashamed if it should come out.

Thank you for your story Alison.  Sometimes we worry too much about the “ what if’s?”. Most people, police included, just want to go about their own business. They don’t really have the time or the interest to care about the guy in a dress.

Clara will try to remember that the next time she decides to take anither risk.  ; )

Best, Clara
