One day I was driving home from a shopping trip to the mall dressed completely en femme and wearing heels. My car started to shake and I knew that I was getting a flat tire. It was late in the afternoon and I was on a expressway with lots of traffic. I stopped on the shoulder and really didn't want to be changing a tire dressed like I was dressed. I had only been on the shoulder for a couple of minutes when I saw a State Farm courtesy truck stop behind me. The driver got out and came up to my passenger side of my car. I lowered the window and he looked at me and said Do you know if you have a spare tire ma'am?. In my best feminine voice I said I think so. He told me to open my trunk and stay in my car for safety reasons. He looked in the trunk and removed the spare tire which was one of those donut spares that only get you into a tire shop and raised my car up with his jack and changed the tire.He put the flat tire in the trunk, then told me to make sure I go to a tire shop and buy a new tire. I thanked him and tipped him 20 dollars because I was so thankful that I didn't have to change my tire the way that I was dressed. I'm sure that I would have been a spectacle changing a tire on a busy expressway wearing a dress and heels bending over giving the motorists a sight that they don't get to see everyday. This taught me a lesson. Now I keep a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in the trunk of my car in case I need to change a tire
