Hi ladies,
Last Wednesday was the day my beloved had to have a day stay in a hospital .
Due to my ongoing minor but persistent health problems she arranged for her son in law to take her in the morning and I pick her up afterwards.
OK Caty time....
I managed to have a nice femme breakfast in my fleecy winter pj's and dressing gown with bra and forms on,thence put a load of Catys undies on the line. (Much quicker than my wardrobe "clothes dryers")
Thence to get fully dressed in my in/famous Fella Hamilton mauve dress.

I'd just completed donning my full lingerie, sussie belt /stockings, cami etc and had the dress and heels on when the phone rings.
"She's ready to be picked up"
About 3hrs before I thought it would have to happen.
Frantic removal of washing on clothes line and mauve dress and heels followed.
Groooaaan...
To rub salt into the CD wound, when I get down there there was a hold up in letting her go, so I had another 30 minute wait... But I do keep a book in the car for such occasions.
Will have to have a day dressed down in my very private Storage Unit to compensate soon!!

I feel for you dear. I've had similar situations occur. Not having to go pick her up but coming home earlier than expected, thankfully she called first.
A funny, not at the time, story. My wife had to stay in the hospital for a couple days so I took advantage of the time. One evening after I left and returned home I decided it was Suzanne time. I was in my study changing when my cell phone rang. I answered it without looking. I was in a bra and pantyhose at the time and when I answered it discovered it was my wife calling via Facetime. We both got the surprise of our lives - she asked what I was doing, got upset and hung up. We had had a discussion a week or so earlier and she was on the downward part of the roller coaster and I told her I was going to stop dressing. I figured I would be okay with her out of the house. Guess that didn't work out. We did have a discussion the next day and we both apologized. Other conversations soon took place after and she came to understand that dressing helps me with stress. Since that time she has become more accepting of my dressing and has taken me to get my ears pierced, shopped with me online and in person, surprised me with gifts for Suzanne and on occasion invites Suzanne to spend the day with her.
Sorry you got delayed when you went to get her. Lucky you had a book with you. I have Kindle on my phone so always have something to read which helps pass the time.

Oh gosh Caty, that's frustrating but at least it wasn't on Facetime and you managed to get dressed an took a picture as a memory.

However, a/. I dont use Facetime,,, (ANCIENT flip fone in fact) and b/. my beloved was only having a precautionary check// Thus thanks for your good wishes.
