Hello girls....

in England we are about to start the cricket season.

like cricket???

A nice eight hour day, sat in the sunshine ???, few beers, lovely lunch....very relaxing.

You can do this for a day, or four days or even a five day test match...

Just to explain the basic rules to anyone who doesn't understand cricket...

here's a quick summary of the ins and outs of our noble game

"You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out....😂😂😂😂😂😂
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. 😂😂😂😂When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game"....🤣🤣

I was going to mention square leg, gully and leg slip..... but that would just confuse you !!!!

Come on Hampshire!!!!!

Love, grace ❤️❤️

Well I got confused with your title, and spent the evening on the patio listening out for the crickets on the lawn, sadly after putting on my glasses I discovered that's not quite what you meant by cricket,"The beautiful game" so to speak.

Blind as a Hampshire batsman Amanda xx he he

Don't forget Leg Before Wicket Grace,

It's a bit like the offside rule in football i can't seem to grasp that one either,

I'll probably just snooze in my deckchair with a beer in my hand it's like watching paint dry, I'd rather play it than watch x

Hugs Roz xxxxx

I'm fairly well convinced that if you're not British, there's a law of human nature that prevents you from ever understanding cricket.

I think I did a better job explaining baseball to the French and German exchange students who stayed with my family.  Lol!

Like baseball, I know cricket has bats and balls.  But does it have brawls?

Alice...

women's cricket is thriving...nationally and internationally...most of the men's test match playing countries have ladies teams....and they are fabulous players.....xx

Trish.

If you don't score enough runs, you could be put back in which would involve going back out. You are then following on ( ooeerrr), if you put your right foot in you could be leg before, unless you get a googly...then you could lose your middle stump...and your bails drop off....causing people to shout HOWZATT !!....cricket is quite dependant on your ability to get your balls shiny on one side....then you can swing!!!!!

I hope this helps 😂🤣😂🤣😂.  xx
