The title once says it all. It was three years ago yesterday I finally joined this website. I was so scared I backed out three times over the course of a week or so, but like the moth to the flame I could not resist the pull.
That was the best thing I did for my dressing up and my feminine persona. Though some girls here I was invited to meet a group for dinner, was also terrified but went for it anyway. They were so welcoming to a new very unsure girl whose presentation still left a lot to desired, but made my feel so good about myself, and not embarrassed to be what I am.
Since then I have been out countless times and some of them have become good friends.
All because I joined up here. So thank you to everyone here for the love and support you gave me.

Perhaps in time we can both celebrate our respective anniversaries; you with CDH and me attending the very same dinner with you last night with such wonderful ladies and gentleman at Xpressions CD/Trans Club in Toronto!
Thank you so much for inviting me to join! It was my first time with other girls just like me and I wasn't nervous at all. You reputations for warmth and compassion were well received and are well deserved!
When I first walked into our room, I thought for a moment I had walked into a room of CIS women! You all present so well! It got me thinking that maybe I do too. When it was time to leave I went for a little detour walk before getting in my car and I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of feeling feminine in the open! It was awesome!
I encourage anyone wanting to bust free from the isolation of their homes to venture out and join a CD/Trans club in your area. I could not have ventured out like this without the support of this community. TBT, the most fearful part was just getting in my car to head downtown. When I finally got back home after a terrific evening, I didn't care who saw me.

Congratulations Amy, with many more wonderful anniversaries to come. Certainly a moment in time was that night we met. I was happy to make your first night one of fantasies to come true. It wasn't that much longer for my first time and truly enjoy our conversations immensely. Joining here certainly opened many doors or as I may say the closet doors are open forever. I've met many wonderful ladies here and never a moment have I ever regret joining. It took many days of deciding to sign up too and so happy I did. Amy your a seasoned member here to which many do enjoy your friendships. Sorry I didn't get back to you about your recent gathering but unfortunately I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to pass on this illness. Hopefully next month, please pass your invites again

Stephanie, yes thank you too. I was so nervous meeting you and the others, but something inside me drove me, I needed to do this. In a way I had been waiting many years for this opportunity, but in a strange way I didn't realize it.
You were one of the ones who first reached out and invited me. The other at almost the same time was April who is now the President of the group. You both made me feel so comfortable. As I'm sure you remember my thoughts at first were sometime many months in the future, but then the thought, the idea of being out femme with others took hold in my imagination.
It was lovely to meet you that evening, and then several other times after that. Hopefully the stars will align and we can meet again soon. I am wishing you a speedy recovery!

I’m very happy you have found friends online and in person through CDH. That’s a dream of mine, too. If nothing else, I’d be happy to meet in drab with CDs in my area. It’d be tough to do so em femme with my current home situation, but a girl can have dreams, right?
