So the post that Rachel posted about the LGBT veterans getting their awards back got me to ponder a bit.
I try and treat people with respect. I believe I’m a kind and caring individual. I can’t understand why society needs to treat people differently. I’m a human being just like everyone else why can’t we just respect each other. Why is this so hard? Ok it’s a short rant I could go on but I’m not. 😊 ok I feel better. ❤️Katey

The real problem is that despite what so many people will say...society cannot accept people who are different!
Being different and unique causes them to be jealous, confused and envious!
How dare you have the strength and confidence to dress differently and be unique. That's not allowed.
People don't know how to deal with it, so they ridicule it to make themselves feel better.

I couldn't agree more. We should all be able to live our lives on our own terms without fear of rejection or ridicule. Society is so rigid with its rules of what's acceptable and how everyone has to "conform."
