I have recently gotten to a point in my life that I dress every day, and I'm more often en femme than not. One thing I've begun to notice is that I've started to take on a lot of characteristics and mannerisms of my mother. From certain gestures, to the way I hold my hands, to how I stand. I haven't lived at home for a very long time, and I don't consciously do it, but her influence seems to always surface. Has anyone else noticed themselves acting like a female relative? Maybe we never can escape the influence of family 🙂 .
Hi Cythia!! Hope this note finds you well and doing OK. YES! Apples do not fall far from the tree! Also we pick up speech and mannerisms from other people/places where we have spent time. I was raised in Ontario Canada and at 17 yrs moved to Alberta and world travelling and I have strong oil patch speech (Texan) and use words from other countries as well making people ask me if I am from Texas (was at Fort Hood for training), French Indo-China and so on. Don't for we are conceived 1/2 father and 1/2 mother! Living with mom alone you will pick up some of her mannerisms. Which considering what great people moms are......is no so bad si???

Hi Cynthia,
I have noticed that the more I dress and the longer I stay dressed the more feminine mannerisms I seem to show. I tend to carry things against my chest or in the crook of my arm. The way I stand and walk, today after I sat down in the doctors waiting room, I realized that I had smoothed out my pants as I sat. Oops!
I lost my mom when I was young so I'm not sure if that's it, but it could be I guess.
