In light of getting my first wig and successful first attempt at makeup, I decided to tackle that last hurdle. Going out en femme.
I did my makeup again today, exactly like I did yesterday. Not the time to experiment. Then I went to the market in town. After taking a deep breath, I got out of the car and walked proudly in to the store. I bought a lottery ticket, wandered around the store for a little while ”shopping” then left. On the way out I got a big smile from a young man.
Then I headed back up to the lake, and out for a what I call "a dam walk." It was a little chilly, so I didn't walk the whole dam, just far enough to take a selfie so I have proof I was out in the wild. Hopefully the first of many times.
The most stressful part of the outing, was driving out of the neighborhood. The busybody of the neighborhood had her garage open and I was worried she would try to stop me to ask a question. I'm on the HOA board so she does that from time to time. Luckily she wasn't out.
Yay! You did it!

Very happy for you. Hope you have many more times out like that.
XOXO

Happy for you.
Trust me, you will get better at it and it will get much easier.
My best advice is stop worrying about others. If you are satisfied that’s enough. O
That was great start for you Stephanie. I expect the dam to burst from now on as the confidence soars.
Good for you, I hope it was as much fun as you anticipated. Never had the nerve myself but I always love to hear others experiences
Nice going Stephanie!!
I agree with Roberta, it will get easier, and the more you do it and get comfortable the less you worry about others, and then it becomes even easier.
Great work Stephnie!
Well done Stephanie 🙂 I love reading accounts of first trips out en femme to somewhere busy, I have yet to muster up the courage myself ... hopefully this year ...
So happy for you Stephanie. It is sure something to brave going out in public for the first time.
