The area I live in has it's own, small pride event on Saturday. The city, Cardiff, had it's pride a while back and it was amazing. This is a very small local event in aid of various charities as well as to support the LGBTG+ community that is quite large for such a small area.
It's only little. A few local bands on an outside stage. A few local makers with the market stalls. The evening has two local bands playing inside, one fronted by an amazing transwoman, Zoe, that I have become friends with. After the bands there is a drag queen doing a stint.
I'll be going as Cerys, but might come home and change between normal Cerys mode and rock chick mode for the evening. I won't be as brightly clothed as I was for the city's main Pride event (Photo on public photos... I think)
If the weather stay good, it should be a fun day! It's also walking distance, so a few drinks might be consumed 🙂
Cerys
Enjoy the day Cerys .
Good for you, Cerys. Have fun!
Cardiff: I lived in a Cardiff here, for 5 years when young. It was a very small town built on top of the tailings from a uranium mine used to fill a swampy area (can you say mosquitoes?). I joked later that we glowed in the dark. There were no streetlights when we moved in, and all of the streets are named after trees. Yeah, a small town. 🥴
Sounds like a good day for you, have fun!
Where is this Cardiff. Mine is the capital city of Wales. In Welsh it's Caerdydd... Kai r deeve... That's about the best way I can type the pronunciation 🙂
It's always interesting to find out about other Cardiffs.
Cerys
Good for you Cerys. Now that's getting out and having fun girl.
The one in Ontario is about 150 miles north of Lake Ontario, an hour north of Peterborough, near Bancroft. More English carryover names.
Ontario is about the same size as the whole UK and was developed mainly by the English, so lots of English names.
On Sunday it's time for the pride parade here in Ottawa ( https://capitalpride.ca/events/capital-pride-parade/). I did go last year and plan to go and see it this year also.
