Hi Ladies of CDH! I would like to ask for some info and advice from girls who are familiar with the Miramar Beach, Florida area. I’m planning a late-season beach vacation there (leaving in two weeks) and would like to hear from CDH sisters who can advise about crossdresser-friendly restaurants in the vicinity. I know there are a few gay bars nearby, and I assume they would not mind having a couple of older, well-dressed CDs frequent their establishment.
However, I’m looking for a CD-friendly, family eatery where two CDs accompanied by their SO’s could feel safe, and would not be ridiculed, laughed at, or stared at, and where the staff would treat us as they would any other customers. I know that’s a tall order, but I just thought I’d ask!
Any of you ladies know of such a place within a reasonable driving distance from Miramar Beach??

Curious to what you find out. I too will be in Miramar beach starting on the 19th. However I am in a DADT relationship and will not be dressing.

Well, we'll be in Miramar Beach until the 22nd, so it's like we'll be two ships passing in the night!! I understand about the DADT relationship, however.
Also, by strange coincidence, my CD BFF and her SO will be driving down from Jeffersonville, Indiana! I plan to meet them in Miramar on 10/13. I have a much easier drive, it's only about 4 hours from New Orleans -- it'll probably take me more time just packing for the trip!
Have fun. This is my first trip there. I just bought a motorhome (future mobile changing room) and we are vacationing at a rv park on the beach.
You, too, have a great time. Hopefully, Hurricane Milton will have done it's dirty work and the weather in Miramar should be pleasant.
Turns out it was not the best vacation after all. I ended up having a pretty serious Motorcycle accident and spent 6 hours in the ER after being transported by ambulance while drab. Fortunately only damage was head to toe road rash and broken pinky. However bike was totaled. We are going to do a redo next year same time with my new bike that I plan to get this spring.

Heavens sake, Diana, what a horrible way to put an end to your vacation before it even began!!
Well, we did spend 10 days at one of the resorts in Miramar Beach. I only spent one or two of those days in drab, and we dressed the rest of the time (while in the condo and on the condo balcony). Unfortunately, we never could find a restaurant where we felt sure we would be safe dressed, so we picked up food and brought it back to the condo.
We went walking on the beach in our bathing suits (and me, in my cover-up, big floppy straw hat and sunglasses) and did not attract any attention. Then one day out to the condo pool to lay out on the lounge chairs -- there was one young couple that kept staring at us, but mostly no one looked our way.
The beach itself is beautiful, so I hope you get a redo next year.
